It sounds like he was found dead on his tour bus. A great talent that never overcame his demons.

Sadly, not surprised at all.

Not really a huge fan but I used to enjoy the Stone Temple Pilots. RIP..

Wow! He was one of my wife's favorites and he was coming to town and I was going to try and make it.

Surprised he lasted this long. He's been in a bad way for a long time.

Might be better that she didn't see him. I saw him last spring and it was really, really sad. He didn't seem like he knew he was in the world.

It's hard to feel badly for someone with so much talent that pisses it all away.

I'm waiting for an actual confirmation. I don't go by tweets.

I'm just surprised he made it to 48.

Yeah, I'm sure he's just fine. All those stupid fucks on Twitter are probably just joking around and whatnot. What do they know. He's always been a completely healthy dude.

At least he died doing what he loved...drugs.

Can't say I'm surprised. Still sad to see talent such as he pass so early.
I feel bad for the guy though. He was on top and then just sorta sank.

So saddened to hear this. One of my favorite rock vocalists of the past 20 years. He brought a unique twist to everything he did. I loved his work with both STP and Velvet Revolver. RIP.

He had a great voice but once those drugs took hold he just never could get back that glory. Same thing happened to Layne Staley. Such a waste of talent.

This fkn breaks my heart. I JUST saw him play a show with the Wildabouts at The Paramount on Long Island Sunday night & was surprised how good he sounded. STP is one of my favorite bands, I have seen STP twice and Velvet Revolver twice. Granted, one of the STP shows was a train wreck but the rest of them were awesome. He was a talented musician when he wasnt totally fkd up. I am truly sad he's gone but he lived the rock & roll lifestyle to the end.

Agreed...I honestly never expected him to even make it this long.

Aw man. I know the last few years had been rough but this still stings. Great frontman. R.I.P.
