Instagram Live interview with DC101 in Washington DC earlier today where she shows off her nunchuk skills and announced "a couple" of EPs out later this year and a single out "in a few weeks" to hold us over as she works on album #3 🤘

new single "Any Way You Wanna Love" along with two EPs titled "Thank You For Taking Me To The Disco" and "I'd like To Go Home Now" most likely out in September. She also has album #3 all written and will be recording demos soon, with hopes to have the album out in 2021.

One of Meg's songs from "Sorry" came up on my Spotify, and I'm all "that's a good album, let me see if I can buy it on vinyl" (I already have the CD, in a box somewhere in my garage).

After looking, I see that not only is it long out of print/press and completely unavailable anywhere (including discogs), the same is true of the CD, completely unavailable on amazon, and only a couple copies on discogs from international sellers for outrageous money.

I would assume that it might go back to press soon, but the fact that she doesn't even sell physical music on her own site doesn't fill me with hope.
So those of you that have the CD/vinyl of the first album should be able to clean up!

I would think that groups like Anti-Flag, Fishbone, Gwar, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones would be higher up on the bill instead of floating around all of those bands nobody has ever heard of.

Same goes for her first album "Daughter In The Choir" and her EP "Make A Shadow" on CD. I have the EP and Sorry on CD but never picked up Daughter and now regret it.

The really weird things is it appears the 2018 release "Take Me To The Disco" is out of print as well and can be hard to find. And that was just released 3 years ago. Never bought it because I wasn't a big fan.

Luckily you can still stream all of these on Spotify. For now...

Because vinyl pressing plants are so backed up and they can barely keep up with new releases, keeping older releases in print is becoming more and more difficult. Even huge bands, like U2, have a majority of their vinyl releases OOP.

Really bummed that she’s gone the Liz Plair route : Dropping the writing of great rock-pop songs and instead chasing the current pop trends to get on the charts with shittier music. Really dislike the new single.

This kind of cycle is nothing new - so many artists, from all eras, hoping to be "relevant" chasing trends that they aren't particularly suited for, end up falling on their face harder than if they just stuck to what they did best.
Just thought Meg was beyond this sort of thing. Guess not.

Not digging this pivot. She started out all cool and whatnot then she cut off her hair and was a bit on the grungy side and now she's all alternative-like? I'll stick with Banks - at least she's consistent 4 albums in. I guess this is MM's way of selling out?
