No track listing yet, but you can stream the title track here http://www.theswordofficial.com/
Man, this used to be my favorite band but they just aren't doing it for me anymore.

I love Warp Riders and Apocryphon. I still haven't checked out the the earlier albums but everyone says I need to. Can't wait for High Country.

Re: The Sword - High Country 8/24/15

Well that did nothing for me.

I really used to dig these guys, but WARP RIDERS was mediocre and APOCRYPHON was a bore, title track aside. This new single sounds like more of the same tired sound.

Maybe I'll dl this, but if every track sounds like the single it won't get much play.

I guess I am the odd man out because I liked the single and went ahead and pre-ordered one of the bundles.

I kinda liked it, but it sounds like a step down for them. Would like to hear some more before I decide on this one.

Cant argue with this. Touring with Clutch so much is making them sound like Clutch apparently.

I saw the Sword open for Kyuss and they were LOUD. This doesn't sound LOUD.

Empty Temples, another track from High Country is up at Rolling Stone

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/ne...mples-20150716

I like this one more, but they're definitely moving from stoner metal to classic rock.

There a band from my area called Murcielago that kind of remind me of the earlier Sword stuff. You can check them out here...

This one is such a snoozer.

Do robots write the guitar riffs? Everything sounds so stilted and mechanical; zero soul.

Seriously, WTF happened to these guys? This album is so lethargic.

Re: The Sword - High Country 8/24/15

I love the album and that is all that matters.

It works great if you listen to it in one sitting with headphones, IMO. You naysayers are wrong. Wrong I say!

Anyone still into The Sword? Their guitarist is recording a DOOM version of the entire Dark Side of the Moon album, you can hear "Money" here ...
