Re: Walt Disney Records: The Legacy Collection
Man, I have so many of these CDs already. Not sure how badly I need the bonus material since I generally only listen to the songs on the ones I have.
I wouldn't be surprised considering the new appreciation for Schwartz after Wicked, Enchanted, and the Pippin revival.

Re: Walt Disney Records: The Legacy Collection
in terms of 'Hunchback' - I see that a stage version is happening at the moment at the La Jolla Playhouse, with a possibility of it moving to Broadway (but no concrete decision, yet). Interestingly, the deleted song 'Someday' which was replaced by 'God Help the Outcasts' (in the movie) is actually reinstated into the storyline.

Re: Walt Disney Records: The Legacy Collection
Has there been any noticeable improvement in sound quality good or bad with these? Might be interested in double dipping on some of them if they sounded much better than the previous releases. But for me, the better extras were released years ago on other special editions. Not seeing anything that new and ground breaking on these second discs in each release, and I'm a huge Disney fan.

I had no idea they were doing these. The artwork is fantastic. However I have pretty much all of these and rarely listen to any of them. I doubt I'll double dip on any.

Re: Walt Disney Records: The Legacy Collection
I never heard of any of these. I might have if there were still any record stores with soundtrack sections I could browse. I wouldn't know how to even know about releases like these any other way. I just stumbled across this thread.
What is the "documentary content" described in the OP? I didn't see anything in the track lists that would qualify. Might there be audio interviews with the composers, singers, etc.?

(from Pixar Post):
Serious fans of Pixar's scores know that the "Cast and Crew" soundtracks for each film (exclusive to Pixar Animation Studio employees) contain two-to-three times the amount of songs as the retail release. What's even more exciting (and why we feel this is essential to own) is that an official "Cast and Crew" Toy Story soundtrack was never produced — until now.
Disc one contains the complete score (including songs) from the film in sequential order, while disc two contains instrumental and demo versions of the iconic songs. The set also comes with a collectible 20-page booklet which includes liner notes by John Lasseter and Randy Newman.
The cover artwork was created by the exceedingly talented Lorelay Bové, a visual development artist with Walt Disney Animation Studios (Tangled, Winnie the Pooh, Wreck-It Ralph). Bove’s art can be seen in the hardcover book, Lovely: Ladies of Animation: The Art of Lorelay Bové, Brittney Lee, Claire Keane, Lisa Keene, Victoria Ying and Helen Chen. Additionally, Bové was recently named one of ‘10 Animators to Watch’ by Variety (the same article we discussed that also noted Toy Story 4 co-director, Josh Cooley as well).

Re: Walt Disney Records: The Legacy Collection
I just bought The Aristocats, which I never owned on CD.
Amazon wasn't showing it as auto-rip, but it was a third-party seller, and once I changed the buy box to Amazon (which was a penny higher), it did become eligible. Most of the others are as well, but a few seem to be missing that feature.
