What are your personal favorite songs about specific cities?

For Los Angeles, I've always liked Soul Coughing's “Screenwriter Blues”:



For New York, few songs capture the city like Nas's “NY State of Mind” and “NY State of Mind Pt 2”

"UMass" by Pixies is about my hometown. It just about nails it.

"New York I Love You but You're Bringing Me Down" by LED Soundsystem.

The entirety of Love's "Forever Changes" is about various aspects of San Fransisco in the late 60's and captures it perfectly.

"Streets of Your Town" by The Go-Betweens is an awesome little ditty about Brisbane. Australia.

"Everyday is Like Sunday" by Morrissey is a perfect song about Blackpool or Borth or any other seaside town in G.B.

"We're a Happy Family" by The Ramones is basically the perfect Queens, NY song.

"Waterloo Sunset" by The Kinks. The definitive London song.
