I'll definitely be trying for Milwaukee and Moline. When I mentioned this to the wife, she responded, "Is that all?" so perhaps I'll add St. Louis or something to the list, as well.

Pearl Jam in Oklahoma? I am going for sure. I just can't imagine that there are enough people here among the rednecked, bigoted religious nutjobs to fill the BOK.

Kicking myself for not renewing my Ten Club membership for a shot at early tickets. I'm going to try and go to the St. Paul show for sure though.

Looks like a buddy and I may make a road trip to Detroit, as well...going for four shows in all, then! Hoping the lottery goes well.

Anyone know if they have an opening act?

If not, do they need one?

I've seen a solo Vedder show which was amazing. He had an opener but that's a very different show than a regular Pearl Jam show I'd imagine. I haven't seen them in concert yet, but from shows I've seen online or heard through their bootlegs they don't seem to need an opener. They seem to be considered one of the best live acts out there and normally play fairly long shows.

In the 20+ shows I've attended, I've only seen them not have an opener once - Wrigley last year.

You obviously didn't go to their concert last November in OKC nor would you ever believe that the place was packed.

Think they went without an opener for several of the shows last year (at least for Charlotte and Brooklyn, as well as Wrigley). With that said, I'm also in the 20+ club, and fully agree with the spirit of your statement; last year was somewhat of an anomaly.

EDIT: And FWIW, I've come back to the 2014 fall schedule 5 different times, each time trying to find a way to make at least one of the shows work, and I keep coming up empty.

Re: Pearl Jam Announces 2014 US Fall Tour

I got the email this morning and immediately texted my wife and my two closest friends who also love Pearl Jam regarding the St. Paul, MN show. One friend texted, "I'm in!" The other texted, "WHAT?! YES!!" My wife texted, "How much?"

I told her the truth: I hem and haw on price for pretty much everything in life. It really takes a lot for me to say, yeah, that's a good price so I'll bite. The only thing I can truly think of off the top of my head which I refuse to hem and haw over is tickets to a local Pearl Jam show.

I'm in for St. Paul.

How much were they if you don't mind me asking? I don't care too much either way as I fully intend on going as I've wanted to see them for a long time but am just curious.

Re: Pearl Jam Announces 2014 US Fall Tour

I saw them this past fall. Ticket was a little over a $100 with fees. There was no opener. PJ played for about 3 hours. Vedder drank about 6 bottles of (I believe) wine during this period. It was worth every penny.

Re: Pearl Jam Announces 2014 US Fall Tour

I think I'm going to try to get tickets to the Detroit show. I've not seen them live before and since they are making Detroit a stop, I want to try and see them. I would have preferred to see them on tour after Vs and Vitology.. but from what I hear they always put on a great show.

Just not happy that the Detroit day is a Thursday night. Esp since it takes about an hour to get to the venue from where I live.

Ten Club pre-sale is $156 per pair for all venues, whether GA or Reserved.

So yeah, there goes $600 real quick! (actually more, as I intend to bring my two boys to one of the two weekend shows, depending on what happens with the lottery - wife and I will probably split and each take a kid)

Cool. That's not really too terrible for a pair. I assume regular tickets may be more but hopefully not a lot more. I should really re-subscribe to the Ten Club. I kept meaning to but put it off.

In for Moline and Milwaukee - shut out for St. Louis and Detroit.

Will probably try to get 4 for St. Louis in tomorrow's public sale, and skip Detroit.

Well tickets were a bitch to find. I was only able to end up snagging one and my seat is a nosebleeder which kind of sucks but I've always wanted to see them in concert. See whoever is there at the St. Paul show though!

Just got 4 for St. Louis...best I could find @10am launch was section 311, but my buddy scored section 114 for me. Still not great, but at least we've got 4 together - bringing the kids to their first PJ show!

Re: Pearl Jam Announces 2014 US Fall Tour

Just got my ticket for Pearl Jam here in Tulsa. I didn't feel the need to buy one for my daughter nor did she argue to go as I took her to their show last year in OKC. I'm pumped!
