That sounds fucking fantastic, and I'm not even a huge Foos fan anymore. I wonder if they recorded it for a video release or something?

Chrisedge - looks great as always!
I presume you taped the whole thing? If so, do you plan to share the full show?

My buddy did a little more than half, and I got the whole thing. I am seeing if anyone that got better footage will share to make a better mix. I'm sure it will be shared at some point. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I wish I had pulled ANY ticket lower than I got. (2nd to last row at the top of the forum)

Well, they kept posting artists videos to the Foo Facebook page on Thur/Fri leading up to the show. Zack, DLR, Alice Cooper, etc...They did post a Joe Walsh video, and I think he was expected to show but got sick last minute.
Here is my single cam of the finale...

Yeah, this album isn't the greatest - most of the songs are just too generic sounding for me to get into (a long running issue with the foo fighters) - but the first track and feast and famine are keepers (although feast and famine barely cuts it).
Foo Fighters are still that band for me where I actually both love and hate them....so many songs of theirs I just can't stomach but then they also have a lot of tunes I absolutely love - so weird but hey, it is what it is.

^ Agreed. I actually waited to hear the songs as they were played during the Sonic Highways episodes, so I heard I Am A River last. Wasn't impressed at first, but I like it more and more with each subsequent listen.
I actually like the album quite a bit (surprisingly so). The only tracks I'm indifferent towards are Outside and Subterranean. My favorite is probably What Did I Do?/God as My Witness.

I'd love to see/hear that entire show, though in that Panama clip it seemed like David didn't know a lot of the words. I know live doesn't always need to be a beat-for-beat or word-for-word reproduction, but it seemed like the only word from the actual song that he knew was "Panama".

Panama has lyrics?
Other "Pan-a-ma-ha-ha-ha-aahhh!"?

The album has grown on me. I was a bit let down at first but I think it's pretty strong overall. I think it lacks a solid single so it hasn't caught on as much with the mainstream audience but it's a good album.

I'm definitely buying this blu. I really liked the episodes and cities they did. And the Austin episode covered a lot of what I grew up with in town. I miss a lot of the venues they talked about.

This album has been a grower for me.
First few listens, I was "meh" on it
Saw the documentary, and with subsequent listens I'm really liking it.
I think seeing the Documentary has really made me appreciate the music more - odd, but it's true.

Yeah I think this album is definitely one you have to listen to a few times for it to really grow on you. I felt like at first it lacked the punch of Wasting Light, but the more I listen to it I really do like it a lot. I think the best songs are Something From Nothing, What Did I Do?/God As My Witness, The Feast and the Famine, and I Am a River. I'm really excited to see them live a second time in August.

I wanted to chime with my two cents again now that I have listened to it many times over. I honestly think something from nothing is the best song they ever made.
The only other tracks I like on this album are tracks 2 and 4. I am a river is one of the cheesiest songs I've heard in a long time - just way over the top and then some.

I don't really quite understand calling I Am a River cheesy. I wouldn't say it is anymore so than a lot of what passes for rock and roll these days.

I've listened to it upwards of 20 times and I still think it's their weakest effort to date. SFN is really the only song that stands out to me, and it's way too long at that. Still, one of my favorite bands of all time and I eagerly await album 9.

Mike86 - i don't how to explain it to you -to me it's just a goofy drawn out song. Different strokes for different folks.

Also, if folks have yet to see Sonic Highways, you really need to. Aside from the Foos aspect, it's just one of the finest music docs I've ever seen, and I watch a lot of them. Really hoping they do a second series, which is a strong possibility. This time out, they could do places like Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Memphis, Atlanta, Miami and any other good music cities I may have forgotten.
