I finally got an email today with redemption codes for the new music downloads. I was all excited until I saw that I won't actually get the music until their fall tour starts on September 16th. No clue of what the music consists of, they only say "More information on Ghost's new music will be announced soon." I wonder if it has anything to do with their new covers EP coming out in the fall.

Sounds like it could be the EP. They did that with Meliora last year - after all was said and done I had like 3 digital versions of that album that I gave to friends.

Ghost has released their new song "Square Hammer." Its poppy as hell (isnt that the point?) and damn good! I loved it and cant wait to see these guys life again.

The biggest surprise to me is that the EP comes out Friday!!! I plan to order it asap but thats a pretty fast to release date announcement. Why So Blu? Being a vinyl nut like me, if you find a cool vinyl version or get any info, keep me posted!

Wow, that totally caught me off guard but I saw that Amazon doesn't have a listing for it at all. Maybe it will only be released via digital?

Somebody mentioned that in the comments on blabbermouth but I hope not! It is odd that it just came out unannounced until now. Usually there's a press release type of update.

I haven't even gotten around to listening to Meliora - I guess I can check out that and the new EP at the same time. So far I think I've liked the If You Have Ghost EP the best.

Great song! When I ordered my concert tickets they said I would get a free download of the new EP on the first day of the tour, which is in three days, can't wait to hear the rest! Maybe it will just have an exclusive window as digital and a physical version will come out later?

"Missionary Man (Eurythmics cover)"
"Bible" (Imperiet cover)

Unlike "If You Have Ghost" where I was already familiar with the original versions of all of those covers, in this case I'm only familiar with "Nocturnal Me", barely. I've checked out some of the originals of these tonight, and man, this EP should be interesting!

It's still scheduled for tomorrow but on what media? I wouldn't be surprised if they just do a digital release at this point. I don't know what the procedure would be for retailers to not list product this late in the game.

Unless they push back the physical copy release and do a split.

Is this because you purchased the concert tickets? Im gonna get some tickets for a show in october but havent bought yet. I was going to buy them in person at the store but I assume you gotta buy online to get the code

Yes, I bought tickets back in June for their November show in Toronto. At the time I received an email saying that I would get the download link in September, it was a looooong wait. :lol: I'm not sure how it works if you buy the tickets in person. Perhaps there's a code on the ticket that gives you access to the download?

Well that was...interesting. Listened to the EP on the way home, and while I think "Square Hammer" is a great song, I'm not sure what they were trying to do with these covers. I'll need to listen again, but honestly, this is the first Ghost release that didn't grab me right from the first listen. I'd be interested in hearing others' opinions on the EP.
