iTunes?

i hope it is ok to post this here...

my sister is transferring all her music from one PC to another that already has iTunes and its own music.

can you have 2 separate iTunes accounts on one PC with separate music in each?

hope that makes sense...

On a Mac you could do it if you have two separate user accounts to the computer itself.

Windows probably works similarly.

it is Windows and that makes sense, but i am not sure how to create 2 user accounts on 1 PC and 1 harddrive. now, they sign on separately because they have 2 harddrives hooked up to 1 monitor, keyboard, etc...

Go to the Control Panel, and choose "User Accounts". You'll be able to create a new user account for your sister on the computer, and when iTunes is run on this new user account, it will have an entirely new iTunes library that is separate from the other user's library.

iTunes: How to open an alternate iTunes Library file or create a new one

This article explains how to use iTunes 7.0 or later to choose a new or different iTunes Library. This can be use to verify or isolate issues, or just if you want to easily choose different libraries.
Steps to create or choose a different iTunes Library file

If iTunes is running, quit iTunes.
If you are using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu and choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.
If you are using the Mac, open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option key.
You should see one of the following screens:
"Choose iTunes Library" screen for Windows

"Choose iTunes Library" screen for Mac
Additional information

If you do not see one of the screens above, then you did not hold the correct key at the correct time. You may want to try again. Note that if you pinned iTunes to the Start menu programs, and open it that way, it may not work.

Anyone else hate this new iTunes update that tries to force you to create an icloud log on every time you get on it?
