Fucking sweet!! Thanks for posting this!

Track listings look awesome... a lot extras on the DVD! Finally will own the Heart-Shaped Box video (and the Director's Cut!)

This sounds great! I dunno about the 2013 mix though. I don't see the point of this.
It'll be great to have Live and Loud on both dvd and cd. I love the bonus tracks on the dvd as well.

I want this but I don't know if I am willing to pay the kind of money for this album that I paid for Nevermind.

Yeah, I'm mildly interested but it is very dependent on price. My assumption is that it will be much more than I am willing to pay.

In almost all of these "super deluxe" editions I go for the 2-CD set over the $100+ set instead and am rarely disappointed... There's such a huge price difference it's absurd.

To push up the disc count so they can inflate the price.

the price on these things is absurd. the record industry still doesn't get it and I'll be downloading this out of spite.

Wow, I saw this before it had a price & was expecting about $50. $140 for 3 CD's, a DVD (not even a Blu Ray!) and a book is obscene. They could at least toss in the vinyl for that price. Or some marbles & coasters....something.

The reason this thing cost so much is that it costs more to brickwall music. Stop your bitchin'.

Look at how much bigger the waveform is! You think waveform comes cheap?

Hmm... preorder still active but "currently unavailable" on Amazon.com. 2011 all over again.

Best Buy has an exclusive listed on their site but its a variant of the 2-disc edition at the same $27 price point. There was no pic or other indicator of any kind re: what it includes earlier today when I last checked it out.

4 lousy stickers??? Really? I was kinda hoping for something more substantial, like maybe an extra live 12 track cd or something.
Oh well...

Re: Nirvana In Utero 20th anniversary reissue Sept 24, 2013

I would like the large set but with the the concert being on dvd and not BD and the third disc jsut being a cd version of the concert, I am thinking the 2 disc set will do me just fine. Amazon has it around $22 right now. Is that the best price on this set or has Target or BB posted their release day prices yet?

Re: Nirvana In Utero 20th anniversary reissue Sept 24, 2013

There was never gonna be a L&L Blu-ray. It was shot on video. I don't know if Paramount is the only Nirvana show that was filmed but I know of all the shows with home video releases it's the only one that was.

That said, this has dropped down to around $125 on Amazon and that still seems a bit high for what's included. I'm pretty much on the hook for it regardless but I'd love to see the price drop further.

Target, like they did for Nevermind, will have an exclusive version--which is disc 1 of the bigger set (album + 8 extra tracks)

No they get it. They get that there's a segment if the consumer base that fetishizes physical media, packaging etc. and they've realized that selling a $120 box set to one guy is roughly the same as selling 10 copies of a $12 CD.

So yeah, keep downloading. It'll just make then go after the nerds even harder.

I'm just irked that the fucking vinyl set is $50. Now I have to go the secondary market or wait for a used copy.

You're basically correct. The music industry has decided it's easier going after the hardcore fan willing to pay any price than trying to move a mass market CD. This grew out of a similar model in ticket pricing for Classic Rock acts, overcharging the few diehards willing to pay $500 and up for a single ticket, if they can meet the band or something.
