I was a big fan of WPA, a short-lived side-project in 2009, which had Sean and Sara Watkins, along with Glen Phillips (Toad the Wet Sprocket), Benmont Tench (Tom Petty), Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello), and others. The album was good, and their live show was even better.

The Thorns, with Matthew Sweet, Pete Droge, and Shawn Mullins was also a nice album/concert.

And Rockpile being one of my all-time favorite bands, I'll second that nomination!

Nice, never heard of that project I'll have to check it out. And if you like that you a may like Mutual Admiration Society (Phillips and the Watkins siblings), actually saw them on a live music show (can't remember the name) and that's how I discovered Nickel Creek.

Yeah I love the archive, but I never looked for MAS on there, so I'll definitely check it out. And yeah I like Sara's solo stuff as well, so I'll check that out. I pretty much like all of Nickel Creek's side projects, such talented souls. And now that I think of it, catching water in my mouth that Sara had spit out would be refreshing. Thanks for the suggestsions.

Does one-off soundtrack work count? The Edge did one solo soundtrack/score for the film Captive and it's pretty awesome.
