They do? News to me.
They are one of the most influential and well-regarded bands of all time. I may not want to listen to them much these days, but that's because I listened to them so much in the '80s and '90s that I burned myself out.

There are many that think Zeppelin's music basically sucks and didn't bring anything new to the table. They acknowledge they could play very well in the studio, but the praise stops there. I'm not one of them, but I've heard or read their opinions in the past.
That said, I enjoyed listening to the "new" material for each album and the better sound quality of the individual releases. If there is a lower priced box set made available after all the single album releases I may pick it up at some point and try and find a new home for the old box set I purchased a very long time ago.

There is definitely a pervasive hatred of Zeppelin in music media, especially Rolling Stone who, when they were super popular would bash them and praise the Rolling Stones and The Who as much as possible.

Dude, that was like 40 years ago! History has been very kind to Zep.

I listened to them so much in high school that I also burned out, but I also listened to The Beatles, The Stones, Bowie, Pink Floyd, etc. just as much and never burned out on them. To me there's an element of Zep's music that lacks staying power.

I learned the main licks, and most solos to almost every Zeppelin song just by constantly playing along to them. They're the only band I've done that with to such an extent. Any other band would also buckle under so much repetition. I love middle-period Stones, but was never interested in learning to play their songs, if I were, I'm afraid the same would happen.

I mentioned it like that because of the hatred for stairway to heaven alone. Yes, a TON of people love to put this band down.
CODA will be good for the extras alone, as someone already mentioned...nobody would buy it if the extras weren't included.
Now now, I'm just saying CODA is weak, not their entire catalog (in through the out door was pretty craptastic as well though

Finally broke down and picked up the first 6 releases on deluxe vinyl. Have been interested in the bonus material and how they play in comparison to the original pressings for some time now. My copies have seen better days so figure this is a good time to update the catalogue and should be the last time I buy a Zep album on vinyl. Will likely pick up the remaining 3 this summer when they come out.

I wonder if they also recreated the "watercolor" easter egg - back in high school my friend had an early pressing that had that, you brushed water on the inner sleeve and the colors would appear.

The outtake discs from Coda are fantastic. Glad I got all of them and now Page needs to start unleashing the live stuff on us.

Listened to all three of the newer releases over yesterday and this morning. They reminded me just how much I still enjoy those last 3 albums even if they are not as good as those that preceded them. Also reminded me just how little I am getting out of these bonus discs. Despite the uptick in sound quality I can't see myself buying these unless a box set of all them got real cheap.

I haven't yet listened to the 3 newer ones, but will get to them eventually. I hear the supplemental material on Coda is actually quite decent. Though I'm still bummed White Summer/Black Mountainside wasn't included.

I'll always stick up for Presence. I spin that record far more often than Physical Graffiti.
In Through The Out Door... when the mood strikes me, I guess, I'll put it on, but it's the least of the Zep LPs for my tastes.

Oh man - after living with these albums for more than 30 years, there's no way I can make a proper list - not an objective one and not a subjective one, as both versions will be influenced by the other. So here's my objective/subjective list...
IV*
Physical Graffiti
Presence
II
III
I
In Through The Out Door
Houses of the Holy
Coda**
*(as great as it is, I'm fine if I never listen to IV again)
**(should Coda even count as an album since it's a collection of cast-offs?)

Guessing I will be quite alone once again on this one:
II
Houses of the Holy
I
Physical Graffiti
III
Presence
IV
In Through the Out Door
Coda
Some songs on those last albums (Achilles, In The Evening, Wearing and Tearing, Stairway) are actually my favorites over the songs from the albums on the top of the list. But ranking whole albums, that's how mine come out.
