Ellie Goulding

What is the overall opinion on her music?

Are you sick of Lights?

She is big in the UK and now having success in America.

I like her music and enjoyed her first album. I still need to hear the new album.

'Lights' is off her debut album, which is over 2 years old. I think the same thing happened with Florence & The Machine. Radio picks up the hits 1-2 years after the album has been out.

I just picked up Halycon. I really like what I'm hearing so far.

I picked up her first album when it was 99 cents and I like Lights, but I don't think the rest of it has made much of an impression on me.

Great artist, great sound, great voice that reminds me of Dolly Parton, great songs. Love that I discovered her two years after everyone and enjoying Halcyon!

Re: Ellie Goulding

I really like Halcyon but didn't love the first album much other than Lights. I do find that listening to one or two songs I find her fantastic, but more than that I get completely bored with her music. Like a super rich chocolate torte, the first bite is a tiny orgasm in my mouth and the second is nice but I really don't want any more than that. I just watched the Ellen clip and there's something compelling about her and it makes me want to hear more and more but then I do and want to hear something else. Perfect for radio. I hope she catches on because I still want more.

I became a fan of hers after my wife and I saw her open for Katy Perry. My wife can't stand her voice, I love it.

I love the Halcyon album. I think it's much better than her first CD. I'll be seeing her live in January.

I really like "Halcyon". Great electro-pop tunes and underrated lyrics. She sounds a bit like a poppier Bjork to me.

She and Skrillex split.

Another version of the Anything Can Happen video

Ha!

I became a fan of her stuff after hearing her on either my Skrillex or Deadmau5 channel on Pandora.

She now has her own channel on my Pandora.

Same here. I had no idea who she was until I heard Summit on the Bangarang EP (awesome track). I'm definitely not a fan of Lights but I'll have to check out her other stuff.

Leona Lewis original recorded Burn as a demo but dumped it and Ellie picked it up

I didn't realize anyone was being forced to listen to her music! Holy crap! Call the authorities and report this monster who's making you listen to stuff you don't like!
