I saw her live last year at hangout fest and thought she was fantastic. I had never heard of her before. They play her songs a lot here on the island, I guess being a commonwealth and all we tend to get a lot more British music.

Man... she looks gorgeous in that video. I think she's so great. I'm glad I got to see her a few years ago before she got really big. She puts on such an awesome show.
The one positive about the film is that it's got a pretty good soundtrack. |

Ellie Goulding's new album is more "ambitious". The 'Love Me Like You Do' hitmaker has revealed her next record is much "bigger" than her second studio record 'Halcyon' because she felt "certain restrictions" on her previous releases. "Whether that means it's more adventurous, or a bit more ambitious, or a bit more daring, I don't know. But I'm certainly taking on something a lot bigger than I have before and sonically it's a lot bigger. "I feel like there were maybe certain restrictions on the last album. But I'm at a point now with this album where it's just taken on a new life now of its own and I can't stop it." She told Billboard magazine: "So that album is coming out and what people make of it I don't know, but it is coming. It's nearly finished and it will be out this year. Apparently a couple of months ago, she cryptically tweeted "Live and Let Die". So speculation is that she will be singing the theme song to the new Bond movie Spectre.

I just got her 1st 2 albums recently. I think I casually heard a few of her songs here and there over the last year or so, but never fully paid attention to who it was. But, she was a coach/mentor on The Voice last season and I decided to look into her music more. I really like her. Some really solid songs. I'll definitely check out her next album.

Her new album will be one of the rare albums I will buy and not download from Itunes.
I hope she does not change her sound or go away from the formula that is working for her. Maybe more collaborations with Calvin Harris. |

If anyone uses an AppleTV, Ellie Goulding has a live concert on their Apple Music Festival app. It may also be available on the ipad/iphone, not sure there.

So I'm going to see her next week. The show is apart of the AMEX Unstaged series. Scarlett Johansson is directing the concert. It will be stream. Should be interesting.
She announced her actual tour dates recently FYI for anyone interested. |
