Re: Your One Favorite Song?

Couldn't even begin to narrow it down to one. It's like asking me which breath of air I like better.

Re: Your One Favorite Song?

Can't go wrong with "Sister Christian", but as Rocketdog wrote, this question is a tall order. I'd probably just go with my old stand-by answer, Tom Cochrane's "The Boy Inside the Man" (which I've posted several times on this forum). It really doesn't get much better than this, imo. It's a rip-roaring anthem that stands the test of time and, for me, evokes childhood.

Re: Your One Favorite Song?

With almost 500 vinyl LP's, a couple hundred cassettes, 30 CDs, and almost 40 years of music appreciation, I would never be able to choose my one favorite song. Maybe my favorite song at that particular moment in time but it would change often, as there are so many "favorite songs". Right now I'd have to say Indira's Chant by Frank Steiner Jr. -kd5-

Valley Girl. Shit yeah, love that song.

I'm going to go with "Shadowplay" by Joy Division... for today.

Re: Your One Favorite Song?

I'm just going to pick the one that first came to mind.
The Silent Acquiescence of Millions by Sinch.
I picked this song because it encompasses most of the things I love about modern hard rock music, even though it's already 10 years old. It has a great build-up of intensity and good lyrics. It is epic without feeling long (which is an accomplishment for any song over 8 minutes, IMO). It's not pretentious, and although it adopts the "loud quiet loud" structure, it doesn't feel like a re-tread of other great songs.

There are few songs I "love," but this is definitely one of them.
