No, they probably won't.

It appears that they're only interested in playing the largest markets.

I guess they are both playing Rock Fest in Cadott as well. That's quite a haul for me.

That's the show I'd like to attend as well (most likely my final Maiden show, fittingly, as my first Maiden show was for their Somewhere in Time tour back in '87). But I can't seem to find any solid info on where/when tickets go on sale.

The Summerfest grounds are only like ten minutes from here, I just hate dealing with the crowds. Being 4th of July, it's going to be especially nuts.

Re: Maiden England World Tour - 2012

Grenier, It may not be too nuts. Summerfest closed last year on the 4th because it was on a Monday, usually one of the slowest days of the fest. Summerfest officials also noted that the 4th usually has smaller attendance, due to family gatherings, which gave them the perfect storm to close last year. Also, the fireworks by the lake are on the 3rd so there won't be a fireworks crowd. Myself I just avoid the parking lot, especially if I am going to be there late.

I'm out. $300 for a pair of tickets to a show I've seen numerous times? Fuck that!

Mid-range seats are $90 after fees. Not sure if I want to pay that, especially since I saw the Somewhere Back In Time tour.

Picked up tickets for the D.C. and PA. Shows. Might pick up tickets to one more show depending on work.

Can't say that set blows me away. I might try for scalped tix to Irvine (waiting until the day of the show always helps pricing), but I won't be devastated if I pass.

No Hallowed? C'mon.

Re: Maiden England World Tour - 2012

Kind of a dull set-list, to be honest. Maiden is my all-time favorite metal band, but I'm SO over Running Free, Iron Maiden, Fear of the Dark, Trooper, Run To The Hills, Number of the Beast... I'd love to hear some Prowler, Remember Tomorrow, Killers, Murders in the Rue Morgue, Total Eclipse, Children of the Damned, Where Eagles Dare (which is still the greatest album opener by far, IMO), Sun and Steel, Deja Vu... mix it up a little bit. I'd reckon to say more fans at a Maiden show will know the deep album cuts than the fans will at, say, Def Leppard or Poison or even Metallica for that matter.

Although I am stoked to see The Prisoner and Phantom of the Opera.

Re: Maiden England World Tour - 2012

Yeah, those 2, along with 7th Son, are the only 3 songs that really give me a boner. Most of the rest is just a re-tread of the Somewhere Back In Time set. Also, I know they insist on doing Fear Of The Dark on every tour now, for some reason, but adding another song from that shitty album makes no sense.

If they are gonna do retro tours, they should at least make them unique.

Re: Maiden England World Tour - 2012

Besides being a little short, I actually think that's a pretty good set-list (Fear of the Dark being the only song I don't care for). I've seen Maiden around 7 times, and I think there's only one show I've been to that had a better set-list - heck it's better than most of the stuff on their live DVDs (except for Live After Death, of course).

You going tonight? I was considering tagging along with some friends, but the temperature hit 102 this afternoon and I'm not getting sick from the heat.

Re: Maiden England World Tour - 2012

Yeah we went. It's like a 90 minute drive and we were expecting the worst the entire ride there. It was pretty hot, but manageable which is saying a lot since I don't deal with anything over 75 very well. Cooper played for about 50 minutes or so. I was really excited about seeing him again.
Maiden went on around nine and played until just before 11. It was a pretty much non-stop. A couple times Dickinson talked to the crowd at length, but for the most part is was song into song. The stage setup was cool. Ice themed with a bunch of Eddie incarnations over the years. Really glad I went. It turned out to be one of my favorite shows.

Yeah exactly the same. It was my first time seeing them, so I was fine with the "hits".

Maiden tend not to change the setlists mid-tour if they can help it.
