Re: Music Survey
I was a huge Who fan as a teenager, i really over-played them and soured a little on their music. I still recognize their exceptional talent as rock musicians. My top three choices hold more significance to me over the years. The Who are still in my top five, though.

Re: Music Survey
What the hell, might as well throw in with some answers, too. Although generally, I am loathe to do one of these, as trying to whittle down the answers is akin to asking me which breath I like taking better than another. I Like a lot of different music, and the answers you get from me one day may not be the same the next day, week, or month. It all depends on what I'm feeling at any given time. That said, this is the best I can give you for right now...
Age: 46
Formats You Have Owned In Your Lifetime: Vinyl, Reel to Reel, Cassette, 8-Track, CD, Digital files
First Format You Purchased: Vinyl
Title of First Album You Purchased (Any Format): KISS - Destroyer
How Do You Prefer To Buy Your Music: In an actual physical format, from real records stores, but occasionally online, too.
How Do You Most Often Listen To Your Music: These days, mostly on an I-pod or CD player, but also on a turntable when the mood suits me.
How Much Time In A Day Do You Spend Listening to Music: On an average day, I would say spend more time listening to music than I don't. I get to listen to music at work all day (and usually of my own choosing) - which is usually for 8 to 12 hours a day. Add to that what I listen to during the car ride to and from work, and that's another hour. I will often listen to music when I go to sleep, as well, so there's a little extra there, too.
Favorite Genre(s):Rock, Power Pop, Hard Rock
Least Favorite Genre(s): Certain types of Jazz (i.e. Fusion), some rap, some types of world music.
Top Three Favorite Bands/Singers: Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper, Thin Lizzy. For more modern bands, I'd go with Nada Surf, The Gaslight Anthem and Sloan
Three Least Favorite Bands/Singers: I hate answering this type of question even more. Off the top of my head, if I had to pick someone, I guess I'd go with The Pogues. I just can't get into them.
Three Favorite Albums: Of all time, or just any three? For right now, let's go with Nada Surf - Let Go, Cheap Trick's s/t debut ('77) and The Beatles - Abbey Road.
Three Favorite Songs: Again, very tough to narrow down. The La's - "There She Goes", AC/DC - "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)", INXS - "Don't Change".
If you happen to be a big rock fan here's an additional section to do.
All Time Favorite Band: Cheap Trick
Favorite Lead Singer: Robin Zander
Favorite Lead Guitarist: There are just too many. Sorry
Favorite Rhythm Guitarist: Malcolm Young
Favorite Bass Player: Tom Petersson
Favorite Drummer: Eric Singer
Favorite Decade of Rock: Almost all of them
Favorite Concert: I've been to too many great shows. However, one that's still at the top of the list is Van Halen in '81 on the Fair Warning tour.
Favorite Live Album: Three way tie - Cheap Trick - At Budokan, Thin Lizzy - Live & Dangerous, KISS - Alive!
