Re: What concert did you recently attend?
Mike Peters of The Alarm, 30th anniversary of Declaration album.
Great show, just Mike and his acoustic guitar (and some occasional use of a looping pedal.) He played the Declaration album in full, along with some earlier Alarm tunes, a couple covers of the Stray Cats and Big Country, and an encore of Alarm hits. Best of all, he interspersed the songs with a whole bunch of stories from the early days of punk/new wave, and his encounters with the IRS label, and bands like the Stray Cats, The Smiths, Echo and the Bunnymen and of course U2.

Riot Fest (Denver) @ Mile High Stadium
I only stayed for a handful of all the bands on the bill, including:
All, NOFX, Slayer, Clutch, Face to Face, Primus, The Descendents, Bob Mould, The Cure, Social Distortion....
Fan-flippin-tastic!

Sunset Street Music Festival
Caught the sets of Crosses †††, Cold War Kids, Iration, Mayer Hawthorne, Jane's Addiction.
I'm in the process of rendering the full set of Jane's Addiction. I was playing around with my GoPro using my monopod. Not the best video quality and the sound system was pretty blown out being so close to the front of the stage. Not to mention the compression that Youtube does. I have half of the set of Crosses ††† and a song or two of Mayer Hawthorne. I missed out on Puddle of Mudd and a late show of LA Guns just for nostalgia's sake. The Whisky was already at capacity and no way to get in. I didn't realize how EDM Empire of the Sun's stuff is. I kind of liked what I heard from FartBarf.
Anyway, here's one song from JA. I should have the full concert set, uncut up at some point this week.

Just got back from seeing Rob Zombie. It was fun if short. He played "Jesus Frankenstein" which is my favorite of his solo songs so that was a plus. Great stage set up.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?
I get a little pissed off about X. One of the greatest American bands ever, they're healthy and getting along well enough to tour steadily, and they're still sounding good---write some damn new music already! Other bands their age (and older) still put out good new stuff. I saw them somewhere around 2004 I think, and they sounded great, but it was just an "oldies" tour---and I think they've been playing pretty steadily since then.

Nice footage, and I would have loved to have seen that lineup. That's one of my favorite Buzzcocks songs, too.

I saw Bob on the last album tour (Silver Age) at one of the last Copper Blue shows. He was fantastic and I thought about seeing him again this weekend. (I posted a video in this thread)

Re: What concert did you recently attend?
Decided at the last minute to attend the Cage the Elephant / The Black Keys show last night. Although Saturday night's show was sold out, the added Sunday night show was maybe half filled with tickets up close available before the show.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?
Very good. He and his current band have been together for quite a few years now and it shows. I also saw him a little over a year ago and the set was probably about 2/3 different, so that was good. His latest album may be my favorite of his, and they did about 7 songs from it, so I liked that. The Husker Du/Sugar ratio used to be about even, but it is now heavier on the Husker Du side.

Lo-Pan/Black Cobra
@ Lost Lake Lounge
Denver, CO
9/27/14
Lo-Pan always bring it live, my favorite hometown (Columbus) band. Crowd went nuts over them. Can't wait for the new record.

Neil Diamond, he did a Secret concert at his old High School, Erasmus Hall, in Brooklyn.
