Watched Reverend Horton Heat along with Mountain Sprout at the Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa. The show was last night and it was FREE for everyone! Awesome show! The second time that I have seen the RHH live.

Saw Neon Indian last month, put on an excellent show. Silent Diane was okay.
Super stoked for this month though:
- 7/5 - Tycho
- 7/15 - Youth Lagoon / Father John Misty
- 7/27-29 - Sound Town Festival
Lots of bands I can't wait to see at Sound Town, and many for my first time ever: Weezer, Florence + The Machine, Jane's Addiction, Doomtree, Phantogram, Those Darlins', Temper Trap, Best Coast, Heartless Bastards
Super stoked for this month though:

7/6/12: Dead Congregation/Grave Miasma/Anhedonist/Vastum/Mortuous/Apocryphon
Waited 4+ years to finally see Dead Congregation play on the West Coast. Did not disappoint.
29 shows/concerts since 1/14/12. Going to take a 3 week break until the next one I want to go to.

After seeing (and meeting both before/after the show - got pics & autographs) Brendan Benson front and center on the 28th in Chicago, we decided to take the kids to see him in Milwaukee on the 30th @ Summerfest (all ages show). Front and center again - plus got to meet & greet after the show - my 9-year-old got a signed setlist, and we got pics with him, as well as with Young Hines.

6/28 - Umphrey's McGee @ Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Richmond, VA- I love this band, got plans to see them 6-8 more times this year
7/3 - Crosby, Stills & Nash @ Wolf Trap, Vienna, VA - Long time, first time. Fun show, but the vocals are pretty much gone.
7/12 - Roger Waters @ Verizon Center, Washington, DC - Mother of god that was awesome.

I got box seats, straight back, little to the right. One of the projector boxes was blocking most of the circular screen at the top, didn't miss much. What a show, really hope he does another leg because I want to see it again.

I saw Alice Cooper when he was in Raleigh. I guess I was a couple rows behind and to the right of Dubya.
It was good, but it was basically a 'greatest hits' type show. Not anywhere near as thematic or story oriented as Theater of Death. But when every song on the setlist is a greatest hit, that's not a bad thing.

Tonight I will be seeing Death Cab for Cutie at The Wellmont Theater. This will be my first time at the venue, even though I have been past it thousands of times. Surfer Blood is opening.

This has been the greatest week.
On Saturday, I saw Wilco, The Avett Brothers, and Dr. Dog together. Wilco is an incredible machine at this point in their career. Perfect, tight. The Avetts are excellent but I prefer them at a more intimate venue.
Last night I saw Conor Oberst and Dawes. Conor played a long solo set with a dude who played xylophone, guitar, and piano. Then Dawes came out and backed Conor for like 5 songs. Incredible. I was in the third row, center. Best seats ever.

Tomorrow I got King Khan & The Shrines at the Bowery Ballroom. Big fan of King Khan and this will be my first time to The Bowery, but not the area it is located in.

Went to Cheap Trick/Aerosmith on Tuesday at the Izod Center in NJ. Great show, and Darryl from RUN DMC joined Aero on-stage for "Walk This Way".
