Saw Attack Attack! and Escape the Fate tonight here in Montreal.
Was really good! The venue was small and intimate and the sound was great! it was REALLY loud and heavy. Good stuff!

We were about 11th row in the section they walked by when they entered the arena with the torch. Nice surprise. Love that they played some songs out on the small platform.
Can't imagine how hot it was near the stage - we could instantly feel the heat of the flames where we were.

I was talking with somebody at a Phish show last year and he mentioned that he was a roadie for Attack Attack!. I was thinking where have I heard of them before, then it clicked, that horrible music video. Before I could even say a word, he saw the look in my eye and said "yes, that band" and sighed.

Lou came out and did "It's Clobbering Time" which went into "Injustice System". Considering this was in New York, the fans dug it, the hipsters (and there were a lot at the show) were confused.

That is really cool! I dug them, they have that classic hardcore sound, with some punk.

I remember looking around and seeing folks more excited to hear songs off of 'The Shape Of Punk To Come' than songs off of 'Songs To Fan The Flames of Discontent'. Hell, they even played 'Everlasting' at the San Francisco date and not that many people were excited. I almost lost my mind, mostly because I didn't expect them to go that far back in their catalog.
I would also love to live in a place where I got to see SOIA play pretty damned often

Saw Negura Bunget 2 nights ago in San Francisco. It was incredible!

Kenny Wayne Shepherd was fantastic last night. I'd never seen him live before, man what a beast on guitar. Since it was a small-ish club, we were only about 15-20 feet back from the stage too.

Tedeschi/Trucks Band at the Ryman
I had seen each of them separately with their own bands in the past, and both kicked ass. But the duo together just really didn't do it for me. The group has so much potential (horn section, dual drum sets, Burbridge brothers), but never took off...kinda like having a Maserati, but only driving it in school zone. Still had a good time though, plenty of satisfying moments, so it wasn't bad at all. It just didn't live up to my expectations.

Not as "cool" as the majority of acts mentioned in this thread, but seeing Chickenfoot at The Brick in Minneapolis last night was just great, old-school, hard rock fun.
I don't know if I was just standing in the wrong place or if the venue really is as lousy as its reputation is getting to be, but the mid-range sounds sucked. Low sounds were great, high range was there, too (and really high was distorted), but it was freakin' loud in there. My ears are still ringing.
Opening band was Black Stone Cherry. Never heard of them before, but they did a great 35 minute set. They went all-out and hooked us from the first note.

School of Seven Bells a month or so ago. Definitely exceeded my expectations, but the constant pot aroma gave me a headache (by far the most at any show I've been to). I was also standing right next to the singer in the bar afterwards (she's a tiny thing) and couldn't work up the nerve to say anything.

Umm... I was at EPCOT last Saturday and saw Mickey Dolenz perform at the Flower & Garden Festival.
We drove 6 hours (round trip) for a "free" 30 minute show.

I was fortunate to have my band on the bill with them when they played in November of 2010.
We were the 2nd band but it was great to share the stage with them.
Paul is such a great guy. I have known for a while. Here is the flyer for that show :

Webster Hall is a great venue.
<hr>
I'm beyond excited for the next show I'm seeing:
Janelle Monáe, playing with her orchestra at the Sydney Opera House.

not a concert per se, (even though I still want to see them live), Simian Mobile Disco DJ'ed last night at U Street Music Hall - damn! they are fierce - the tech-house songs they played were pulverizing!!, the dj albums from them are better than there own music IMO.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?
Just saw Joe Bonamassa last night - in his first ever visit to Portland, ME - being only passingly familiar with his music. (Other than the Black Country Communion albums, I own none of his solo work).
I was offered a pair of free tix from a friend in radio - and since I have another friend who is a huge Bonamassa fan, but wasn't able to get tix to this sold out show, I invited him along with me.
Gotta say, I'm a fan of him now. Truly amazing show, and mind-numbingly brilliant guitar playing, and singing, on Bonamassa's part! If you like good blues based guitar rock, his show is well worth checking out. He put many other artists in the same genre I have seen before to shame. The crowd was also totally into it, too, and you could tell he was truly humbled by the reaction he was getting on this inaugural gig here.
