Re: What concert did you recently attend?

It was an absolute blast. Chic was great, Duran Duran sounded just the same as they always did, even the opening openers were pretty good. Go if you can.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?

Pat Metheny and Ron Carter.

It's funny when people talk about the greatest guitar player; Hendrix, Van Halen, Clapton. And then you see someone like Pat Metheny play.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?

Cypress Hill
George Clinton

Denver
4/19/16

George Clinton was great. Cypress Hill were also good, but went on waaaaaaay too late. We left before the show ended, and it was still around 1am.

For anyone who has been to any of the last Pearl Jam shows... what have they been hitting the stage?

Right at 8:30 in Greenville; a couple of minutes later (8:35?) in Columbia.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?

Generation Axe - Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Zakk Wylde, Nuno Bettencourt and Tosin Abas
4/25/16 - Taft Theatre - Cincinnati, OH

Interesting to see them show off individually, but the good stuff was when they paired up or grouped up.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?

Went to see Otep and Lacey Sturm last night. Opening acts included September Mourning (some odd In This Moment-type goth band), Through Fire (pretty good hard rock band), and Doll Skin (mid-teenage girl band discovered by Megadeth's Dave Ellefson).

Not really a country music fan, but I thought he was a fantastic performer.
Cool. I'm seeing him in a couple of months as part of his six-show stand here in Vegas. He's doing two concerts in the same night on July 3rd, which is totally insane. How long a show was it?

Somewhere around 3 hours.

Yeah, he did 6 shows here too, but it was over 2 weekends with 1 show per day. We were wondering how the heck he would be able to pull of two shows a day very often. He 'seemed' really tired towards the end of ours and it was the first show of the 2nd weekend.

Halestorm - Lita Ford - Dorothy
4/29/16 - Taft Theatre - Cincinnati, OH

I always enjoy a Halestorm show, a lot of crowd energy.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?

Pop evil, Rob Zombie and Disturbed on Saturday night.

Pop evil was decent but really short, threw out a couple of hits and done.
Rob Zombie was awesome. Great stage setup. Good mix of classics and songs from the new album. Loved the Grand Funk "We're an American Band" cover.
Not really familiar with Disturbed's music beyond the hits, but they put on a great show. The medley of Closer, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Baba O'Riley, and Killing in the Name was a nice surprise.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?

The Cure last night. 3 solid hours with 4 encores, 33 songs total. Damn was it long, but good. And Reeves Gabrels is pretty damn good.

Got tickets for Buckethead at The Novo (formerly Club Nokia) next month. It's been almost 10 years since last we saw him live at the HOB in Anaheim. Tickets are $10, too.

Cool. I am going tonight. The 2 New Orleans shows were only about 2.5 hours each so I am glad they ramped it up.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?

Burn is my favorite song of theirs, and they just recently started playing it again live. So that was great to hear it as one of the encores.

I saw it too. Amazing show, but I thought the NO shows sounded ramped up already with 28-29 songs but 33 for Austin WOW. It looks like it will be anyone's guess what songs they do each night. You will have a good time.

Seeing them at the Hollywood Bowl next week. Can't wait. I'd rather they ditch the opener so they could play longer .

Good to hear all the good buzz about The Cure--I'll be seeing in June in Boston.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?

Wolf Parade, NYC. Pretty good show. For an (older) band I was surprised they started their set at 10:30pm.

I have no problem with shows ending before 11pm on school nights.
