Re: What concert did you recently attend?
I was at Morrissey at The Capitol Theatre on Saturday. Was going to cover the Brooklyn show but weekdays getting to Brooklyn from NJ is tough for me.
It was my first time at the newly reopened Cap. Sweet venue.

Not being snarky...but why not go to the Red Bank show? Or do you strictly stick with Bowery events? As always... great pics. I didn't realize you worked with The Waster. I know someone who used to write for them.

I also had never been to the Cap so I was looking for a reason to go.
I shot Chris Cornell solo at the Count Basie but it lends itself to that type of show.
Who did you know from The Waster? Alexandra?

Saw Muse last night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Probably one of the best light shows I've ever experienced. They certainly seem to have taken some cues from U2 with some of the stage production, but they've really put their own spin on it. My first time seeing them and it was an incredible experience. If they're coming to your neck of the woods and are on the fence, find a ticket and go. They do not disappoint.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?
Saw Soundgarden again last week at Hammerstein Ballroom.
Highlight of the show...
Cornell sees a standing up front with a sign that says "I want to play on stage with Soundgarden"
Cornell acknowledges him around song 5. Ask him what instrument he plays. The guy says guitar. Cornell asks if he is any good and the guy says yes. Cornell invites him on stage to play "Outshined" using Cornells green Gibson.
After a slight technical hic-up to start, the guy shreds the song singing the whole time. Never seen someone smile as much as he did.
More if you want to see:

Re: What concert did you recently attend?
The last gig I was was last autumn when I saw The Civil Wars at the Roundhouse in London. It was the show after which they went to their dressing rooms and posted on facebook that they were no longer a 'touring entity'. Possibly last ever Civil Wars gig ::sob::
They were supported by THE LUMINEERS - great gig.

They know how to put on a show! I passed on this tour since I'm not wild about the album, but they certainly have their stage shows down. I saw them last tour and were amazing (also saw them in a much smaller place with out the stage stuff and they were still fantastic). Videos I've seen from this tour, look awesome too.
I've seen some YouTube clips from previous concerts and the stage show looks great.

2/9/13: Negative Approach/Bad Antics/Guantanamo Dogpile @ The Great American Music Hall
Best part (other than it being Negative Fucking Approach) was that it was only $5!

Passion Pit/Matt & Kim at MSG. I grew up with the singer of Passion Pit before he moved at the end of 6th grade. Pretty crazy to see someone you know headline a show at such a venue.
