Just saw Rush and Primus, both were fantastic.
Always wanted to see s string section with Rush and it was worth the wait, can't wait till the second half of the tour next year I will have to hit a couple dates.
Primus with their 3D show was really cool as well, the 3D actually worked pretty good and of course the music is always great.

Death Angel @ The Last Day Saloon (Santa Rosa)
They played their debut album, 'The Ultra-Violence' in it's entirety to celebrate it's 25th Anniversary. Also played 5+ songs on top of that for an encore.
So awesome!

I won tickets to a private show tomorrow night to see The Dunwells. Just recently discovered them, but I really like their sound.

Even my contact at Prudential was like "We have no clue whats going on with anything. The Stones basically bought out the venue and we just do as we are told".
I think they are taking preemptive measures knowing we are all going to try our best to get in.
Even if I get to shoot it they will likely just escort me out after the first 3.

Re: What concert did you recently attend?
I will say that I expected boring and I was surprised. He is such an emotional guy on stage and he connects with his audience at a different level than I see. Not a stronger/better level...just different.
He sounds great, moves around on stage quite a bit, etc. Really good show. Not sure if it was just my expectations were low but I would have gone back again if it wasn't the third show of his 3 night NYC run.
Definitely a short show (an hour and 15 minutes). His set list was a bit indulgent... he should play more for the crowd than he did but I overall it was good.

The Smashing Pumpkins with Morning Parade at the ACC in Toronto. Great show if you like Oceania...not so much if you don't. I happen to think it's a great record and loved seeing it live. Pumpkins sounded better than they did the last few times I saw them before they 'broke up'.

I went to the Red Hot Chili Peppers tonight in Minneapolis. They were pretty damn great I have to say. Very energetic show all throughout and they put on a good stage show as well with their graphics/lighting/etc. Also I thought that Josh Klinghoffer did decent even though it would've been cooler to see them when Frusciante was still with them. They played a good mix of hits and some newer stuff too. The opening band, Thundercat may be one of the worst openers I've seen.
