3 listens for me so far and I'm finding it kind of lacking. the dynamics and energy of the Stripes are really missing for me. It's probably unfair to compare it, but I'm a little disappointed.

I think Jack White is very talented, but for some reason, I listen to the albums he's involved with a handful of times and then throw them in the corner.

Damn, so it sounds like a "One time listener" from what you guys are saying. I was really hoping this effort would be different....hoepfully it's not that way for me but kinda sad to see people already going that route.

I don't necessarily think that to be honest. I think people just want more of The White Stripes and that's not exactly what this is. It's still a very good album in my opinion at least.

I really like the album. Of course it's not a White Stripes record, but I think there are still a handful of pretty great songs. Maybe the album could have used 1 or 2 more amazing tracks, but overall I think it's a pretty solid album. But it's definitely mellower than I expected.

I like this album quite a bit, and that's coming from someone who hasn't really been a fan of anything White has done. I never got into White Stripes or any of his other groups, but I like the tone of this record. His performance on SNL is what sold me. I really dig "Sixteen Saltines".

While I can't really give a full review just yet (haven't listened to it enough yet) this is NOT what I was expecting......and that's a good thing. I am really liking this so far even with the lack of "heavier" songs - This is definitely his most creative work to date.
I'm really hoping this one continues to grow on me - so far I am really liking it.

Listened to it all the way through once at work and there were a few highlights but otherwise shrugged it off.
Played it again later in the day, and it was better. I think it's an album you need to pay attention to.

So far, after the handful of listens I've given it...I pretty much just can't warm up to one song (track 11) BUT I still have a weird respect for it.
And again....I'm the type of person that believes you can't just listen to an album a few times to give a final verdict (well, don't get me wrong...there is a lot of shit out there that you can do this to but you get what I'm saying) and this one has really caught me by surprise.
I have really taken a shine to love interruption as well...I really dig that tune. This is also Jack's best writing to date - there are a ton of outstanding lyrics on this album.

I forgot about watching it last night. I'm going to have to check it out sometime though that looks like an awesome set list.
I really enjoy this album a lot thus far. To me all the songs are really pretty solid. I enjoy the two singles (Love Interruption and Sixteen Saltines), Weep Themselves To Sleep, and Take Me With You When You Go the most so far.

Pissed that I missed the webcast but I thought the first minute or so of this video was pretty damn funny:

His first "number 1 album" - pretty cool.
After giving this a ton of listens.....I can officially say this is a great album....def going to stay in my (small) collection.
