Workout Playlist/Mixtape

I don't really use playlists. I don't know why, but I'm usually too lazy to set them up. So, when I'm at the gym I just end up shuffling all tracks on my phone. Unfortunately, then I end up having to skip constantly, or I'm listening to a talk radio track, or random sound clips I happen to have on there, or whatever else. I end up wasting time that should be spent focusing. For the longest time I have been meaning to actually put together a bunch of tracks that get me motivated at the gym. However I figured it would be more interesting if I could get some suggestions from people here who may have something set up, or have good ideas on that topic. So what does everyone here work out to, or would work out to if they were into that sort of thing?

I made a gym play list that deals mainly in harder rock songs with a good beat/pace to the song. It's a decent mix of songs that I like to listen to and that keep my pace up when I'm on the treadmill.

My playlist includes:

Life is Beautiful - Sixx AM
Saints of Los Angeles - Motley Crue
Passive - A Perfect Circle
Sober - Tool
The Kill - 30 Seconds to Mars
So Cold - Breaking Benjamin
Miss Murder - AFI
Troublemaker - Weezer
Judith - A Perfect Circle
Cold - Evans Blue
Lovesong - Snake River Conspiracy
Paralyzer - Finger Eleven
Weak and Powerless - A Perfect Circle
Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N Roses
Popular - Nada Surf
Last - Nine Inch Nails
Le Disko - Shiny Toy Guns
Ain't Comin Home - Silvertide
Schism - Tool
Zero - Smashing Pumpkins
Infected - Bad Religion
The Bird and the Worm - The Used
Metal Health - Quiet Riot
Holy Diver - Dio
Know Your Enemy - Green Day

If you've got a device that can listen to podcasts, you can also check out the Podrunner Podcast.

I don't listen to music when I'm doing weights, but I run about 22 miles a week and I generally think there's no better running music than Motorhead. Uptempo, hard-pounding, energizing. Any of the classic albums will do.

I've never tried Podrunner before, after giving it a sample listen it might be worth checking out.

This is the one time where I like the Genius feature... Although I want to throw my phone when it says shit like not enough instances of this genre to create list.

Not sure if you are into dance music, but these 2 are on constant rotation for me.

Subfocus - Essential Mix from April 2009 (Drum'n'Bass/Dubstep)
Maya Jane Coles - Essential Mix from July 2011 (House)
Soul Of Man - Essential Mix from July 2007 (Breaks)

If you are a runner, the Subfocus mix is guaranteed to shave a few minutes off your 5k time! Plus, each show is 2 hours long so you will spend less time shuffling between songs. If you check them out, let me know what you think and I can recommend a bunch more.
