Rock tracks with a mid-Eastern theme...?
 

There's at least a couple of tracks that I really enjoy for the Eastern vibe they display:

1. Sails of Charon - Scorpions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5r16oIOfXY
2. Hassan i Sabha - Hawkwind - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARgwM50nuQ0

(Neither of the Youtube links is verified)

If I searched through my collection probably I'd be able to think of a few more (e.g. perhaps something from Kula Shaker; maybe The Stranglers' "Nice & Sleazy"; certainly various Led Zep tracks...) but I wondered if by posting here I could elicit a list of faves from musically-savvy DVDTalkers.

My only stipulation would be that the rock tracks should be from Western bands occasionally demonstrating an eastern vibe rather than from bona fide mid-Eastern bands...

mewithoutYou has a few songs with Arabic lyrics and a number with a sprinkling of a mid-eastern feel. Every Thought a Thought of You from their latest album, the Dryness and the Rain from Brother, Sister both have Arabic lyrics.

It's funny how many of these tracks I actually own! I'd not really thought of Blancmange having a mid-eastern vibe but I think you're right... and this is one of my favourite tracks of theirs even though I'd not played it for years!
