1. Last Known Surroundings
2. Human Qualities
3. Trembling Hands
4. Be Comfortable, Creature
5. Postcard From 1952
6. Let Me Back In
I've just finished listening to it for the first time and I think it's their best yet.

I'm a big fan of "Those who tell the truth ..." but the 2 after that, not so much. All the songs on those albums have the exact same "sound" to them, and I have big problems telling any of them apart.
Will have to hear more samples of this new one ... so far, I'm not all that impressed.

So this is out today, iTunes has it for $6.99 and Amazon $9.99. Pissed about that because I saw it yesterday for $5.94 and figured it would drop to $5.00 like they normally do with the new album releases. I'm hoping it'll drop at some point now.

I heard it all the way through on my Napster subscription. Mind blowingly good. I never cared for their albums enough to buy one, but I just put in my order for a copy.

Definitely how I feel. I love that album (especially "Greet Death"). None of their others have grabbed me at all.

Yeah, I like them, and enjoy listening to the music, but not much of it is really all that different from each other. This album is no different. It's a solid, pleasant listen, but not one I'd want to do as much as most albums I'd rather hear again and again.

Down to 7.99 at amazon now, for the MP3s, so I figured I'd give it a shot. First impression: holy crap is it pretty blah. The songs don't seem to have any real point to them. Just random meanderings and then they're over. Pleasant enough, I guess.

So, I listened to the entire album last night. My wife bought it on vinyl.
I think it's great. It's exactly what I expected from them, and I'm glad that they seem to stick to their overall sound. Sure, they could change things up like other bands have, but I appreciate that EitS has pretty much stayed the same while still making each album/song interesting, in my opinion.

Bump!
New album, The Wilderness out April 1st.
They're doing two shows at the Paramount in Austin along with a few more around the country. I'm going to the early show in Austin. I can't wait!
First single:

It's a very new sound for them. As I said in my post above from 2011, I appreciate that this band hadn't changed their sound much, but after doing a few soundtracks since then, it's probably a good thing that they're going in a new direction.
