Much better than TT5B. Not much filler, better beats, better overall production value.

+1

Just getting around to checking it out and like it quite a bit. Don't know what it is, but I'm really digging the song feat Santigold.

Z-Trip just put out a great megamix of Beastie Boys tracks brand new and old (all remixed). Good stuff.

Thanks for sharing, DJ Linus. That's a kick ass 23 minute megamix.

Killer shit for sure.

Gotta agree. After two days of steady rotation, this gets the thumbs up from me. The production has much more variety compared to TT5B.

I totally forgot this was out. Picked it up at Target earlier this morning and already on my second listen. Awesome effort.

Re: Finally!...Beastie Boys, Hot Sauce Committee Part 2, May 3rd 2011

Way better than TT5B, not even a contest.

BUT, I don't think it surpasses Hello Nasty, which may be the most underrated Beasties album.

I'm digging this one, but it just doesn't quite have the same varied amount of musical styles that they developed on Check Your Head and continued through Hello Nasty.

The one track that is different than anything they have ever done before, the one with Santigold, is probably my favorite.

I wasn't expecting another record after TT5B, Hot Sauce Committee was almost a surprise when I learned about it over a year ago, but that sure was one long wait for an album. I am one of the few who love TT5B and Hot Sauce Committee Part Two kicks ass, I am loving it! Does anybody know when and if the Beastie Boys will go on tour for their new album?

From what I understand Yauch is still receiving treatment for cancer so they won't be touring anytime soon. Can't wait for them to get back on the road...saw them in Boston four years ago when they were touring for The Mix-Up. Definitely the most fun I've ever had at a concert.

Re: Finally!...Beastie Boys, Hot Sauce Committee Part 2, May 3rd 2011

Hot Sauce is growing on me now that I've heard it a bunch.

I think the first 7 or so tracks are real good, but in my opinion, the second half of the album falls off big time.

Just FYI, the "Make Some Noise" (Passion Pit Remix) that I think appears on the single as a b-side is flipping awesome. Sounds like a single for summertime.

The Japanese release has a "Make Some Noise" remix as well. I'm not sure if it's the same one.

Listen to it 20 more times, it gets better.

Re: Finally!...Beastie Boys, Hot Sauce Committee Part 2, May 3rd 2011

I have a quickie, has any other band ever made a music video full of movie stars like the Beastie Boys did with 'Make Some Noise'? Anyone know? I totally love that video (and song of course) I have watched it like 20 times so far. I was hoping it would be included in Hot Sauce Committee Pt2 so I could rock it in my home theater. I know the long version has been on Palladia a few times but I don't have a Tivo.

I haven't cared about these guys in ages. Just heard the tune with Santigold and it immediately shot up near the top faves they've ever done. LOVE this tune (Santigold's new leaked tune with Karen O. called "Go" is also ridiculously good). Now I want to hear the whole album.

Re: Finally!...Beastie Boys, Hot Sauce Committee Part 2, May 3rd 2011

As I have said before i will say it again, I am an old school Beastie Boys fan as I owned their first album on cassette. Anyhow I have listened to Hot Sauce Committee part 2 in its entirety like 25+ times. I hate to say any album is their best but I cannot remember ever listening to a new album as many times as I have listened to this one. I can only hope that they eventually tour because I have never seen them live and absolutely will if they ever go on tour again. Thanks for HSCP2 Beastie Boys, it kicks @ss!

Make Some Noise is such a badass song. This shit rattles my bones.

If they go on tour, a perfect opening act would be Edan.

Re: Finally!...Beastie Boys, Hot Sauce Committee Part 2, May 3rd 2011

They just posted a remix of "Don't Play No Game I Can't Win", done by Major Lazer:

http://blog.beastieboys.com/post/663...s-of-the-major

Pretty good if you're into dancehall reggae, though I was hoping to like it a little more since ML's Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do was one of my favorite albums of 2009.

Cool vid although it's not my favorite track being it's the least Beastie'ish song on the record. Also kinda hard to really listen to the song the way it comes in and out of that video. But just as a video i do like it.

Re: Finally!...Beastie Boys, Hot Sauce Committee Part 2, May 3rd 2011

Just saw that a Deluxe Edition is up for preorder:

Blu Ray AND DVD versions of the entire album PLUS all of the REMIXES mixed in stereo and 5.1 surround sound audio.

Also includes BOTH long and short versions of the star studded FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT REVISITED video and the Spike Jonze directed thriller DON'T PLAY NO GAME THAT I CANT WIN.

Packaged in a gorgeous hard back 130+ page book containing exclusive behind the scenes photos of the making of FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT REVISITED.

Official Beastie Boys STUYVESANT PHYSICAL ED T-Shirt included
(S-XXL).
http://shop.beastieboys.com/

Way to wait a while before releasing a spiffy new version, Beasties. I hate it when artists do this. But then again, with a $88.98 price tag, I wouldn't be buying this set anyway.

About 50 dollars too much in my opinion. I would love to have this set but not with the price that close to a bill.
