The sad reality is regardless of contracts and who is legally right or wrong, Arc Music Factory still looks like the asshole in this situation.

She looks like Winnie from The Wonder Years.
She still sucks though.

You know, I give her credit for doing it. Yes, the song blows (anyone who expected otherwise obviously didn't listen to Friday), but what else was she going to do? Milk "Friday" forever? I would honestly have been more surprised if she had just faded away without ever trying to record another song ever again.
Good on her.
Good on her.

Doing what? Following some marketing firm's model for a fabricated pop singer? What "credit" does she deserve for jumping on the pop tart bandwagon? I'd give her credit for realizing she was bad novelty, collecting her dough and going back to being a normal teenager. But then EVERYBODY has to be a celebrity these days

I don't know, man. Any other 13 or 14 year old with that much negative attention probably would have killed themselves, 'cause life's so hard and all that jazz. No one thinks that her music is any better than the same shit made by 20 and 30-somethings (in fact, I'd say she's equally as bad as Katy Perry and the rest of her peers), I'm just saying that anyone who didn't expect a second single from Rebecca Black is delusional.
Much like Nancy Grace and Casey Anthony, the media and average person helped keep this crap going. I still haven't listened to more than thirty seconds of the "Friday" song.

Amazing that this girl finally has some money and real production behind her...and it all looks and sounds worse than when she paid $4,000 on Friday.

this song is horrible, at least Friday was laughably bad.
And Katy Perry is awesome, she has 2 big assets that Rebecca Black doesn't have.

can we just let this thread die? It's sad truly talented people are playing bars without any attention while this crap is being talked about. Sure it's mostly about how much it sucks but it still has more attention!

Rebecca Black
Rails against haters on 'Early Show'
July 19, 2011
14-year-old singer Rebecca Black stopped by the Early Show on CBS this morning to chat about "My Moment," the follow up to her viral hit "Friday." Black says that with the new single, she aims to "tell off the haters a little bit," but still show that she is "a serious artist." When asked how she coped with the firestorm of criticism that went along with the massive popularity of "Friday," the singer explained that she mostly got through it with the support of her mother. ""She's always supported me, ever since I was a little 2-year-old in dance recitals," she says. "Luckily, the haters don't have to watch 'Friday' or 'My Moment.' So they can turn it off if they want. They don't have to hate. But it doesn't bother me anymore."
