Re: Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup
With Eminem headlining, I feel the festival has pretty much lost it's purpose. I went a couple years ago and it was a fun time. The line-ups have been going real downhill as years have passed though. Pretty sure I'll skip it this year in favor of All Good.

Re: Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup
Is Conan going to be there again this year or did he just announce the lineup? Either way that looks like a great list of performers and I'd love to go. Unfortunately Tennessee is pretty far from my neck of the woods so I really doubt I'll be going. Would love to though.

Re: Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup
We considered going last year or the year before but I recall not being able to buy 3 tickets. For some reason, they required you to buy them in pairs which was absolutely ridiculous.
I like a lot of bands on the list but Eminem? Seriously? And no Wilco. |
Re: Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup
Primus, Opeth and The Sword are the three bands I'd see amongst a sea of crap.

Re: Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup
I was tempted to go, seriously for about 4 artists, mostly because of Opeth. I figured the experience would be worth something at least, if not something memorable. Unfortunately my broke ass friends can't afford to go and my wife refuses to go. Kind of sucks, but I guess it might be a little crazy to travel 6-7 hrs and pay $300 for Opeth, even though they are totally worth it.

Re: Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup
Cool line up, I'd like to see a couple of those bands but live near Seattle so i doubt its going to happen. How long are sets at shows like these.

Re: Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup
I'm glad I found out about this shitty lineup because I would love to see
these bands/singers: Eminem Arcade Fire The Decemberists Lil' Wayne (not a huge fan but it would be fun) My Morning Jacket The Black Keys Mumford & Sons The Strokes Florence & The Machine BIG BOI Robyn Loretta Lynn The Walkmen Sleigh Bells Ryan Bingham So that's 15 I would really enjoy seeing live. I'll pay whatever it costs. |

Re: Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup
I like starting from the bottom of these festival lists and see how far I have to go towards the top until I find a band that I've heard before - I had to go all the way up to Deertick.
This is held in the town where I grew up - I spent the 1st 18 years of my life in a town without a record store and now one of the biggest music festivals in the world is a couple of miles from my parent's house. |
Re: Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup
I went in 2006 and vowed to never go again. It was my first festival, and it just lasted too long. I wanted to go home after the first night.
that said, it's a pretty decent line-up. I want to go again, but i'm not sure I can subject myself to 72 hours of hanging around people who think Bonnaroo is a free-for-all drug bender. |
Re: Bonnaroo 2011 Lineup
Primus and Explosions In The Sky are the only 2 that I would pay to see.
