Deke Dickersons Guitar Geek Festival (NAMM)
NAMM is the National Association of Music Merchants, and they have a big convention every year in Anaheim. On Saturday night of the event, Deke Dickerson hosts a Guitar Geek Festival in a near by hotel. Deke is somewhat of a self described hillbilly, but can play all kinds of music. Mostly centers around surf/fingerpicking/OLD school country/roots music but has done music for movies (Jackass 3 had one of his songs in it) and is a HUGE lover of odd ball guitars and other early stringed instruments...as well as writing for other music projects...
Not sure if anyone cares about music like this..but here is some videos I shot.

I'm going on Sunday. My sister in law works for Universal Audio up in Santa Cruz. Not as many celebs on Sunday but you still get the experience.
Next year I'm going to do the Deke Dickerson festival.

Thanks for posting Chrisedge. Paul's one of my all-time favorite players. Great version of Technical Difficulties! Unfortunately I couldn't pull off a NAMM trip this year.
Sounds like you did it up.

Re: Deke Dickersons Guitar Geek Festival (NAMM)
Well, I spent most of Thursday at the NAMM show itself.

Then Friday and Saturday it was basically 12 hours each day at the GGF. (2pm to 1:30am)
I am posting something from most/all of the bands on my YouTube Page...

Cool video. Never having seen the guy live, does he normally wear those gun range ear protectors while playing?

Re: Deke Dickersons Guitar Geek Festival (NAMM)
I have never seen him before, but looking at YouTube videos, yes he does. He has a custom mix that he hears in those headphones, and he did mention hearing loss, so I think it's some sort of protection...
