Yea I definitely see what you mean about them sounding a lot like Novembers Doom. However I am totally in love with the album, it really grew on me as I kept listening to it.

Re: What's the latest CD you bought? [2011]

So I really should post to this more often cause I almost always buy between 5-10 cds a month.

The 3 newest ones: (flipping computer isn't letting me add pictures)
Deftones - Diamond Eyes
Amon Amarth - Surtur Rising
Bloodbath - The Fathomless Mastery

Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi Present: Rome (Starring Jack White & Norah Jones)

Sorry, I didn't see your post until just now. It's a live album; I'm pretty sure it's from the same concert that was released on DVD a few years ago. The recording is pretty good and it's an interesting record in that you hear a few different takes on Ray Charles's music. Obviously nothing is as good as the original, but it's a worthwhile album and contains some pretty decent covers.

I was never a huge Ray Charles fan, although I like a ton of his songs (so I guess I am a fan?). I've heard of Wynton Marsalis, but haven't ever really listened to anything from him. And as far as Willie Nelson, I've always been a casual fan, but not to where I'm purchasing his albums regularly or anything. The main reason I got the album is because I love Norah Jones and wanted to hear her singing Ray Charles songs and Willie Nelson was a nice bonus. To that end, I was very satisfied.

MR Round, are you a longtime collector or are you relatively new to this? Those sort of (serious volume) purchases appear like someone that just caught the collecting bug.

I'm new to the Collecting aspect of music I used to be a greatest hits collector but my girlfriend has shown me that the best tracks are generally not on a greatest hits IMO so Ive been trying to get what I can from the artists I like. But I can honestly say I have indeed caught the collecting bug

I wouldn't say I'm overly wealthy, my brother own's a record store so I get a discount when I make orders.
