Bro, I think you and I are probably the only ones on this board who own this album. I agree, it's a fantastic song. I know the bands' publicist who turned them on to me.

I don't mean to be a prick (I realize I probably am), but could that song, band, song title, band name and band look be any more stereotypically emo? "Anthem for a Doomed Youth", are you kidding me?

Re: Favorite 'Songs' of 2010

Since there was no new material from The Cure in 2010, this wins by a longshot:

PRICK !! Heh.

Well, if they gotta be emo, they're the OG emo (ie. The Cure, Tones on Tail, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode etc.)...not this Good Charlotte/My Chemical Romance crapfest....

Re: Favorite 'Songs' of 2010

My four favorite CD tracks this year were all rearrangements of existing songs:

I couldn't find a Youtube clip of the much better-sounding CD release of the last one, so I had to post a live clip instead.

This next one gets an honorable mention. The main reason it didn't make it is because of the dynamic-range-compressed production.

Also, I haven't yet listen to the Civilization V soundtrack (the only way to get it legally is to buy Civilization V), but from the clips I heard, including the parts I heard played live, it sounds like it was very probably one of the best CDs this year.
