Question about the Rivers Cuomo "Alone" series and upcoming "Death To False Metal"

I'm wondering if Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo I & II are revamped recordings (re-recorded), or if they're just polished up from their original form? Because if its the latter, wouldn't they be Weezer songs?! And since nobody else gets any credit, I'm assuming all the songs are just re-recorded. However, the tune Blast Off that was leaked years ago and the version found on the first "Home Recordings" are the same (or so they seem).

Now what about Death To False Metal, coming out November 2nd? Are those re-recorded songs, too? I sure hope not.

As far as I know, nothing was re-recorded or "polished up from their original form" (I don't really understand what you mean by that) on the Alone albums; they're how they were when they were originally recorded by Rivers in whatever year they were from. There was some attempt to clean some of them up (for example, if you listen to the Blast Off! that was leaked years ago Vs. the version on Alone, there was an attempt to edit the abrupt beginning and the bad splices that occur on the leaked version), but I don't think there's any instrumentation or vocals newly recorded by Rivers or anyone else. Most of the songs that leaked earlier that were later on the Alone albums seemed to be the same recordings.

The liner notes indicate whenever there is someone other than Rivers on the individual tracks.

Did you hear somewhere that they were re-recorded? Why do you think that other members of Weezer played on them? Rivers plays all the instruments on his demos (unless, as mentioned before, the liner notes state that someone else is featured); Blast Off!, for example, is entirely Rivers singing and playing every instrument on that version of the song.
