Big Boi - Sir Lucious Left Foot...The Son of Chico Dusty

01 Feel Me (Intro)
02 Daddy Fat Sax
03 Turns Me On [ft. Sleepy Brown & Joi]
04 Follow Us [ft. Vonnegutt]
05 Shutterbugg [ft. Cutty]
06 General Patton
07 Tangerine [ft. T.I. & Khujo Goodie]
08 You Ain't No DJ [ft. Yelawolf]
09 Hustle Blood [ft. Jamie Foxx]
10 Be Still [ft. Janelle Monáe]
11 Fo Yo Sorrows [ft. George Clinton, Too $hort & Sam Chris]
12 Night Night [ft. B.o.B & Joi]
13 Shine Blockas [ft. Gucci Mane]
14 The Train Pt. 2 (Sir Lucious Left Foot Saves the Day) [ft. Sam Chris]
15 Back Up Plan

Didn't even know this was out yet and just happened to randomly run across it at the store today. This has to be one of the most refreshing new hip hop albums I have heard in a while. Shine Blockas, Shutterbug, Turns Me On are my favorites. Anyone else get this yet?

I didn't check for this, so thanks for reminding me. Now, if only Dre would come out with his album and show all these wack MCs how you get busy.

The thought that Dr. Dre would make an album half as good as this is laughable at best.

He was probably referring to Andre, not Dr Dre.

This album is definitely in my top 5 for the year.

My favorites are Shine Blockers, Night Night & Theme Song.

Probably 2 or 3 on my best of the year list (behind Eminem's Recovery).

Same here.

I'd rank it as:

Recovery
Sir Lucious Leftfoot
The Adventures of Bobby Ray

This is a fantastic album so far.

What's the deal with the songs Theme Song, Royal Flush (ft Andre 3000 & Raekwon) & Lookin For Ya (ft Andre 3000 & Sleepy Brown)? How come they are not on the album? They are really great tracks and only would have made a good thing better.

Of course. My mistake.

Due to label shenanigans Andre 3000 wasn't allowed to appear on the album although he did produce one track.

Re: Big Boi - Sir Lucious Left Foot...The Son of Chico Dusty

for those looking for it on the cheap, it's only $8 at Best Buy (the deluxe version adds 2 songs and a DVD for $12)

I'm loving this album so far, as I knew I would. Good lord, the beat on "Daddy Fat Sax" sounds ridiculous in the vehicle.

Couldnt get into this, havent really liked much outkast since aquemini, loved everything up until and including that album.

The Roots album craps all over this album, IMO. Love the new roots album, one of their best.

Re: Big Boi - Sir Lucious Left Foot...The Son of Chico Dusty

I kinda like this album. But something seems missing. I want to love this album.

But I don't like how big disappears on some tracks fairly early only to have some BS follow.

The track with Janelle Monae is awesome, but I want more Big Boi.

It's really a shame Andre 3000 won't get back and do an actual Outkast record.

Maybe it'll happen once he realizes his acting career ain't happening.

They've been saying that once Big Boi and Andre release their solo albums they're going to reunite for another Outkast album.

I do too. I miss them, they are so refreshing for hip hop and music in general. I have pretty much everything they have done and never get tired of listening to it.

I wouldn't hold my breath. It took Big Boi nearly 4 years to put this album out -- Andre 3000 isn't even recording one at the moment. And Big Boi has plans to run for Mayor of Atlanta.. so unfortunately I can't see it happening anytime soon.

Re: Big Boi - Sir Lucious Left Foot...The Son of Chico Dusty

This album is great but it would be much better without the talking and skits at the end of quite a few of the songs. None of them bring anything new and the whole idea of skits and running off at the mouth has grown tiring.

Yeah, I wish they weren't there or were their own tracks so I could delete them off my mp3 player. However, the album is phenomenal, I've listened to it more than most albums that came out this year.

That always annoys me. Makes it hard to make mix tapes without editing the tracks.

I've been wanting to get back into listening to rap but I can't enjoy the drug dealer fantasy songs anymore.

I'll check this one out. Thanks for posting this.

They save that for the talk between songs along with the blame it on the cops stuff.
