I tried to do Frank Zappa but there's too many records. I think i've listened to 25-30 of his albums and still have 20 to go.

I did the Zappa thing, having discovered him relatively late

I've also done:
Miles Davis
The Beatles remasters
Parliament/Funkadelic

Tom Waits is on the way...

I organize my iPod by artist and then chronologically within their body of work, so I do this all the time. The Beatles, Velvet Underground, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Bjork, and many many more.

I don't remember doing it, but I'm sure I listened to all 6 Doors albums chronologically back in college when I was really heavy into them.

Always thought about doing this with a big artist with a long catalog. Maybe do it with Rush one of these days...

I don't think I've ever done this. I have listened to all of an artist's songs in one long trek, but they were not in chronological order.

I own them all, my friend, many on the original vinyl I bought as a teen!

I have sort of done this with David Bowie, but I'm not a fan of ALL his stuff, so, technically I couldn't listen to his complete recorded career (I do wish they'd put out a recording of The Hype, the short-lived pre-Ziggy group he had).

I love and appreciate Zappa (My friend wrote several books on him as he is a dedicated fan), but I could never get that into him either.
