Need help identifying a Pink Floyd song...

This description might seem a little vague, so I apologize, but I feel like people who are in to PF are usually really in to them, so maybe this won't be that hard. I heard a song by them that is really long, has vocal sections but also very long instrumental sections that feature the singer doing something that can only be described as howling. I looked up "Pink Floyd + howling" on Google, and I found a song called Seamus that actually features a dog howling, it isn't that. If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

I actually think that's it. I'm kicking myself now because that's the one album of theirs I actually own.

Great Gig features a woman moaning, Careful With That Axe Eugene has Roger Waters screaming several times, which is perhaps your best bet. Look for it on the UmmmaGumma (live) and Relics. JANK

Yeah gotta go with Careful with that Axe, Eugene.

It makes the most sense based on the description, although if that's not it(but I'm pretty sure it is), try "Two Suns in the Sunset", the last track off of the Final Cut album.
I think Roger Waters might do the scream in that song once or twice, if I recall correctly.

It's either Careful With That Axe, Eugene or Dogs. Probably Dogs.

great gig doesn't really have vocal sections, only the moaning. Also, its not that long a song (well for Floyd standards anyways(

Saucerful of Secrets is an outside possibility -- it has the howling, but it's purely instrumental otherwise.

Sure sounds like a description of Dogs from their 1977 album Animals...

"Dogs" from the Pink Floyd album "Animals" (song length: 17 minutes long)

Re: Need help identifying a Pink Floyd song...

I'm going to go with Seamus:

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/OQb4kw_ZuAk&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OQb4kw_ZuAk&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

The worst Pink Floyd song ever.

It continues to get a rise out of my dog, so I can't say that. And for the record, "Dogs" made my dog go a bit crazy when he heard the various dogs barking in surround sound on that track. Since then, he seems to know the trick. "Seamus", on the other hand, continues to make him howl along.

Re: Need help identifying a Pink Floyd song...

I don't think it's the worst pink floyd song but it's not very good. I would of picked something they did later on.

Seamus is also on this track
