Anyone remember the band Head East?
Guess I'm showing my age but I remember listening the song Never Been Any Reason on FM radio way back in the '80 and thought it's was an awesome song. Found out it was from the double LP live album so I went to my local record store and bought the album. Some good tracks on that album like Every Bits Of My Heart and Elijah. John Schlitt was a pretty good singer. Wish this album was on CD but unfortunely it's not. Ahh..what memory.

I had Flat as a Pancake on cassette, and used the song "Never Been Any Reason" (Live, don't remember which album) on a few mixed tapes.

I friggin' LOVE that live version! It's definitely one of my all-time classic turn-it-up-and-scream-along songs. There's also a pretty good cover of "Since You Been Gone" on that live album (made more famous by Rainbow).
They never hit me as a particularly great band, but that one song certainly makes my desert island list.

BTW, about half of the album has been released on a single CD, titled 'Live On Stage' (including "Never Been Any Reason", of course).

I vaguely remember them. My cousin had their 8-track back in the day.
I remember that I liked it but I really don't remember many of the songs.
Except the one that was mentioned earlier.
I'd try them out, if I could get around to them.

Haha geez. I played the video and thought "Man... that singer looks like John Schlitt", and his name popped up.
Apparently this was his first band before he joined the Christian group (that my parents tortured me with during my childhood) "Petra".
Petra was pretty huge back in the late 80's early 90's. Lyrically they're incredibly cheesy though, so caution if you check them out.
