The most laughably bad musical acts/singers ever

Besides the obvious (Color Me Badd, Milli Vanilli, Vanilla Ice, Rico Suave, etc), what are some other lesser known acts/singers that you think are equally bad and laughable? I'd like to nominate Army of Lovers. Who clearly tried to ride on Dead or Alive's (Pete Burns) skirt tails:

I'd go with 80's era Kiss probably. That's the stuff of nightmares to me.

also nominating the following:

This was first posted here years ago. It has never come close to being topped (or bottomed?) for hilarious badness:

Color Me Badd's "All 4 Love" is a great pop song.

Re: The most laughably bad musical acts/singers ever

This thread can be filled up with mostly 80's crap... especially the hair/metal bands. I'm sure when looking back years later, many of those hair/metal bands feel embarassed... although I bet that band Nitro (posted earlier) felt it the next day. Unbelievably bad.

It's been mentioned to death so I won't re-post them, but I have to include the Jan Terri songs/videos into this thread. What makes it extra bad was that it was a serious attempt at music.

That Elektronik Supersonik crap is a parody, so that doesn't count.

Right now, I'd say Ke$ha is pretty god damn awful.

For some past contenders, check out Gary Young (of former Pavement fame), The Holy Modal Rounders, or Jan Terri

I can't believe we got this far into this thread without this being posted.

They aren't "lesser known" but still...

rotfl How did they do that shit with straight faces? Love the chest freezer and Stove f. Sledgehammer as percussion. The rainbow suspenders are a nice touch, too.

I hate to be the :repost: guy, but I can't believe on this board, of all boards, there are people who haven't seen the Tommy Seebach "Apache" and Hurra Torpedo videos already. They've both been posted here many, many times.

Also, Hurra Torpedo is a joke (especially the saggy jogging pants on the guy all the way to the right, which kills me every time). They don't belong in this thread.

The Infidel 04-21-10 12:44 PM

Re: The most laughably bad musical acts/singers ever

They get reposted because they work on so many levels of example. I know I've posted the HT video several times myself, but is it my fault it applies?

Hurra Torpedo, if you look it up, are a legitimate, signed, musical act. And they are, in fact, laughably bad.
