Help identifying a song please. (acoustic singer/songwriter style)

So, I was in Kohl's over the weekend and they were playing this song that I liked. Whenever I hear songs in the store that I like, usually just whip out my phone, google the lyrics and I'm done, but either my google skills are failing me or it's more of an unknown artist.

It has a singer/songwriter acoustic vibe to it and the only words I seemed to remember were "you took the sky away" and then at the end of the song the singer kept repeating "sky away, sky away, sky away". It was a male singer and all that google is coming up with is a r&b song by a female called "sky away".

Any help appreciated.

Could it be "Skyway" by The Replacements?

Not really acoustic, but...

"Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones? "it's just a shot away, it's just a shot away"

That's it. Gracias Norm, looks like I was close but my ears were failing me putting in the extra 'a'. Anyway, dvdtalk comes through once again. Thanks everybody for the responses and suggestions serious and otherwise.

Hm, The Replacements looks like they went under my radar, I'm going to check them out, but is this song typical of their overall style?

Nice, good try, but I'm well versed in my JD.

Glad to help, with my limited knowledge of music.

Not really indicative of their style at all....but they are an awesome band. Do yourself a favor and pick up some albums. Typically, I'm all about listening to a band in chronological order but with them I would suggest picking up Let It Be or Tim.
