Rock N America festival coming to Oklahoma City

Not exactly Cochella, but fun nonetheless...

he Rock 'n' America Festival was announced today, and will be July 23-25 at the Zoo Amphitheatre in Oklahoma City. Headliners will likely include the Scorpions, Vince Neil, Twisted Sister and Ratt, the festival's Web site confirms.

It seems that past Rocklahoma festival stalwarts have jumped ship for this new endeavor. Other bands reportedly performing in the Oklahoma City concert series include Warrant, Dokken, Great White, Sebastian Bach, Faster Pussycat, Winger, Toxin, Bang Tango, Enuff Z'Nuff, Firehouse, L.A. Guns Featuring Tracii Guns and more bands to be named soon, reports rocknamerica.com.

The "Official Zoo Amphitheatre Fan Page" on Facebook reports that a three-day pass will cost $100, plus fees. The ZooAmp Twitter page posted that some 30 bands will perform over three days.

The Scorpions headlining date of July 24 also is confirmed by Pollstar Pro online and the official Scorpions Web site. The official Twisted Sister site confirms a July 23 performance at the amphitheater. The Tulsa World wasn't able to independently confirm other bands at this time.

Tickets go on sale April 10, but pricing details have not yet been released. The Tulsa
World will update readers as the information becomes available.

I don't think it is the same one as last year. I think that this is the first Rock n America festival.

It is promoted by one of the guys who used to be with Rocklahoma, but they have changed the theme of that this year.
