Why is the Star Wars soundtrack box so bloody expensive?

Will the Star Wars 30th Anniversary soundtrack box ever see a price drop? It's been 3 years and they still want $80 for the damn thing everywhere. I can get the DVD trilogy and hear the same songs for ~$30 during the movies, but the music by itself is somehow worth 3 times as much!?!?!? It's insane.

That's a symptom of the horrific hell that is the music industry. It's the reason people don't discover new bands or blind-buy albums. It's cheaper to buy a friggin 3 hour movie plus extras than it is to by a 40-minute audio recording.

I've ramped up my CD buying. Why? Because of youtube. I hear suggestions from people at work, on forums etc etc and I can surf on over to youtube and have a listen. For instance, someone on a VW forum was looking for music that was along the lines of Venetian Snares. I thought, what the hell is Venetian Snares? He added the youtube video of the song Hajnal. I thought it was so cool that I turned right around and bought the CD on Amazon. Whenever I read about the idiot studios removing songs, I have to laugh. They are slitting their own throats.
