Finished up These Hopeful Machines. A solid album, but I definitely liked CD1 better than CD2 on the first listen. We will see how that holds up.
Party has become my defacto falling asleep album.
Story of the Year is coming in April so I'm trying to get caught up on their old stuff before their new album drops next week. Want to be prepared for the concert (best friend recommended them to me).
The Avett Brothers are awesome. I really need to get some of their earlier stuff, because I love I and Love and You and this one as well.

I am currently obsessed with the Avett Brothers ... such good songwriters. I only recently became familiar with their music through "I and Love and You," then I saw their performance on Austin City Limits and that sealed the deal. They look like their live shows would be amazing.
Definitely seek out some of their earlier stuff. I haven't been disappointed in any of the albums and EPs I've heard. "Emotionalism" is especially strong, IMO.

They are the first half of and episode that also features Heartless Bastards

(I pre-ordered it a month ago, don't fret.)
Although it effectively doesn't live up to those amazing first two albums, it's still fun, energetic, and easily the best thing I've heard so far this year. Perhaps not a serious contender for the best album of the year, but it probably will be near the end of my top 10.

La Roux: La Roux - I went to see them last Thursday in NYC. AMAZING show and I've been listening to the album pretty much on repeat since.
Except for when I pulled out this yesterday:
I haven't listened to it in years and had forgotten how incredible it is.
