A good gauge of whether you have taste in music is that none of it is on the current top 100

Uh-oh! I own 8 of them. All via cheap amazon or 7digital downloads:

-- 2 LADY GAGA INTERSCOPE 84,458 -- FAME

-- 3 ALICIA KEYS J RECORDS/RMG 70,671 -- ELEMENT OF FREEDOM

-- 4 TAYLOR SWIFT BIG MACHINE 60,625 -- FEARLESS

-- 5 MARY J. BLIGE GEFFEN 56,982 -- STRONGER WITH EACH TEAR

-- 8 BLACK EYED PEAS INTERSCOPE 47,705 -- E.N.D. (ENERGY NEVER DIES)

-- 14 RIHANNA DEF JAM/IDJ 38,358 -- RATED R

-- 18 JOHN MAYER COLUMBIA 33,294 -- BATTLE STUDIES

-- 24 KINGS OF LEON RCA/RMG 23,016 -- ONLY BY THE NIGHT

Now, how many of those would I have bought for regular or even sale price on CD? One (Kings Of Leon). I guess cheap MP3s do a pretty good job of lowering my standards, but it does allow me to enjoy more music that way.

I have the ones by Michael Buble, Mary J, and Alicia on mp3. Then a few tracks from Lady GaGa, Glee, and Zac Brown Band.

We get Entertainment Weekly in the mail, and always comment on how long it's been since stuff my wife & I like have really been in the top ten music spots. Although Sting's winter album was on there a week or two.. but I haven't even finished listening to it. Hasn't done much for me.
