finally fiinshed the La Roux album - even with the hidden bonus track - it's too short in length, I wanted more

Just got it, and haven't even had the chance to listen to it yet - although I've been waiting for them to release the album since I saw them play songs from it in concert last March...
...and these, which a friend just turned me, too late to make last year's "Best Of" list...

I wasn't sure if I would like the Asobi Seksu album, which has been stripped bare in comparison to their other albums, but I really quite enjoy it. It's something you need to be in the mood for, however, since it isn't "playful" like their other albums.

I was inspired by the Blue Moon beer comercial.

I forget how incredible that Kent album is. I was hooked the first time I heard "747" on the radio (WOXY's defunct terrestrial broadcast) in the late 90's.

Surfer Blood: Astro Coast, which I've only listened to once (this morning), but really like.
Fuck Buttons: Pretty much their entire catalog One of those "I can't believe I missed this band" bands.
Crystal Castle's debut Which I didn't like initially. I now realize that's because I don't really like the first three songs on the album. I think the last few songs on the album are the best.
The National: Boxer Which I stopped listening to and am now revisiting. It's still great. Hugely underrated band, IMO.
American Music Club: Everclear and Mercury I bought these albums when they came out on CD. I hadn't even ripped them to MP3. Mark Eitzel was recently namechecked on a podcast I listen to and it made me go back and dig these out. Wow, two of the most unfairly unheralded albums of the 90s. It's pretty clear that they inspired a lot of bands...
