[SOLVED]ID Song Version - In The Air Tonight - Remix?

I don't listen to radio much so this version might be old.
It's some sort of remix of Phil Collins 'In The Air Tonight' with a piano intro and then a pretty cool beat throughout.
It's not a cover since it is still Phil Collins vocals.Just an added beat.

So who does it?!

Google and Wiki are your friends....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_the_Air_Tonight

In 2001 the remix-version "In the Air Tonight" was re-released to promote the R&B/Hip hop Collins tribute album Urban Renewal, the song is a duet between Collins and Lil' Kim.

Does this sound like what you're talking about? If not, perhaps there's enough other info on that page to help figure it out.

Re: ID Song Version - In The Air Tonight - Remix?

I should have stated I already checked Wiki and none of those listed under 'other versions' came though.
Like I said, not a cover as there is nobody else singing the song. It's just some sort of newer remix with some added beats.
It is listed under 'playlist' on local radio stations web site but it links to the original rather than the one played. So cant even get info from there. You would think they would properly list it so listeners know.

I have tried all sorts of search queries and get nothing but remixes with other artists that actually sing and/or add lyrics.

I heard this on the radio many, many years ago and wondered the same thing myself. I was surprised (and lucky at the time) to find the single at Tower Records and picked it up then. Since then I've seen it randomly here and there.

If Google and Wiki fail you next time you can always call the radio station and ask. They don't care.

My all-time favorite version of this song is the one he did way back for the Secret Policeman's Other Ball. It was just Phil on Piano wiht Daryl on the acoustic guitar. No drums.

Awesome!
