Christmas Music you don't hear much

So what are some rare christmas music you don't hear people recommend much. Last year someone recommend DJ Riko Merry Mixmas which at the time could be downloaded free. I'm not sure about now. Also there was Santastic which I think had the ironman song but replace ironman with santa clause.

I want some rock hip hip rap or i don't know lady gaga. You know crap they don't play on 24/7 christmas music stations.

Bob Rivers has I am Santa Claus, which is their Parody of Black Sabbath's Iron Man.

I think that is the one I was thinking of. I love that song.

I didn't know Twisted Sister made videos for any of the songs off their Christmas album. That's a good throwback to their classic videos.

Re: Christmas Music you don't hear much

Pardon the cheesy YouTube video, but the song ROCKS!

August Burns Red covering Carol of the Bells:

MARTIN SEXTON: He does a mind-blowingly soulful version of "White Christmas" on his "Camp Holiday" album of Christmas songs.

The one Christmas song I can't find anywhere is the Willis the Guard & Vigorish (Buckner & Garcia) "Merry Christmas in the NFL" released in the 80's... Any help would be appreciated...

I have it on a disc from a Dr Demento show, I would have to cut it out since it's on a long portion with other songs.

I'll let you know when it's done.

Re: Christmas Music you don't hear much

Probably my favorite modern Christmas song is Better Than Ezra's "Merry Christmas Eve" (it was the B-side to their "Rosealia" single).

Yeah, with all of the Christmas imagery jam packed into it, it may be a bit sappy. But that's why I like it. The only time that I'd ever hear it on the radio - or anywhere, for that matter - is when I'd spin it myself back during my college radio days.

Seek out the studio version, which is better.

Always loved this one by ELP that usually flies under the radar.

ETA: Also love this one from DMB's first album that most people don't have.

Glad I could help!

Got tons of rare Christmas songs... Anything else you (or anyone else) need?

There are some great songs on that Demento disc that are never played anymore, like "A Cartoon Christmas" by Dave Coulier, "Granny's Christmas" by Granny, "Hard Rock Ko Ko and Joe" by Roy Rogers, "Daddy's Christmas" by Albert Brooks and Kristie", "12 Days of an LA Ram Christmas"...

I just heard Lady Gaga's christmas tree song. Highly inappropriate IMO.

Re: Christmas Music you don't hear much

I'm putting together a Christmas compilation with a lot of unusual songs. One of my favorites I've discovered is Space Christmas by Shonen Knife (for some reason the person who posted this played Space Christmas over another song of theirs, but you can still enjoy the song)

Mojo Nixon's Christmas Christmas is pretty cool too.

And my personal favorite, Type O Negative's Red Water (Christmas Mourning)
