I thought I had heard somewhere that the original version of the album was recorded in a stripped down 'sound' version, but was then redone/re-recorded with more instrumentation added into the mix - is that true, and if that's the case, why aren't those versions included here - odd?

Hmmm...maybe I'll pick this up, since Perfect Symmetry was such a disappointment.

For what it's worth, the correct title is Hopes And Fears.

Gonna get this. Hopes and Fears is a great album. One of the best this decade.

Completely agree with your assessment, my friend . . . classic album! I may have to pick this one up just for those additional tracks. They look very interesting. My concern will be the sonics. I have the SACD version of this album and it sounds maginificent. Leagues better than the original redbook version which was way too hot and sounded like s**t. I am fearing this deluxe version may follow the original CD and be overcooked as well.

have you seen the price for it over at Amazon (the SACD is out of print btw) - the lowest price someone's asking is $150
