So here is the idea, post random song that you never ever get sick of, & then try somone else's. The only rule is, if you are listening to someone's song that you've never heard before, listen to it all the way through, give the song a chance.

Maybe we can all find some new stuff.

I'll start with one of my favorite songs of the year. You don't have to post a video, I just couldn't find the song anywhere else.

I didn't really care for the Dark Mean. The James track is not bad and I really like the Guided by Voices track. I'm already a fan of BbV though.

It's cool, just hope you listened to the whole song to give it a fair chance.

This is from my favorite album of this year, heavy New Order influence, maybe you'll dig it. Video sucks, don't even watch it, just listen to the song.

Hmm...I liked "Crystalised" quite a bit. Man, I am so lame about keeping up with new music---I really need to explore more current bands.

I never heard of that band but I thought it was pretty good actually. It's not the sound I was quite expecting for 1985. I'm going to look them up now- has a power pop kind of sound

Great thread. The OP is the only one that has really stood out to me so far. I'm excited about the link to download it for free!

There are probably better songs by this artist out there, but this is the one I discovered him by, and has always stuck as my favorite of his.

I was thinking about picking another song (it has a really hot lead singer) but most of you wouldn't like it :lol: but this song that i picked is my fave from that album

Love Roxy Music, but I think Country Life if their best. Although 801 is the best Manzanera band.

Saw Shellac in Portland a while back....wish they played this song, but they didn't. But it was the best show i've EVER seen. And only 12 bucks.
