99 Floors wasn't on American Gothic.

I'm aware.

I should have phrased that to say Residency Run/If All goes Wrong/American Gothic era.

Part of the chorus reminds me of another song, but I can't place it yet.

That "Widow" song (the music anyway) kinda reminds me of something vaguely early 90's Red Hot Chili Peppers, but without Flea.

The music is alright, but Uncle Fester definitely needs to work on those lyrics.

The latest song is out. Easily the worst yet. Sigh.

I actually thought it was pretty good. Then again, I've enjoyed all three.
Not his best work, but certainly fine.

So the first 4 song EP is coming out on the 25th, anyone going to get it?

A Stitch in Time is a great song, the other 3 are "eh".

Zeitgeist had this song which was not bad.

I saw them on Tonight Show with Jay Leno about 2 weeks ago and it seems like Corgan now has teenagers and guys out of high school now playing in his band.

Bring back James Iha and D'Arcy!

Funny that out of the 3, you pick the two least important ones to be brought back. heh.

Jimmy Chamberlain. He was back for a while. Corgan has to be the biggest prick in the world if nobody wants to stay in his band.

Re: Smashing Pumpkins - Teargarden by Kaleidyscope

I guess the first EP of this is out Tuesday (A limited edition set is available at at Amazon for an "economic" $23.99); here are direct links to the first four songs:

http://smashingpumpkins.com.s3.amazo...ral-Planes.mp3
http://smashingpumpkins.com.s3.amazo...ch-In-Time.mp3
http://smashingpumpkins.com.s3.amazo...ke-My-Mind.mp3
http://smashingpumpkins.com.s3.amazo...-For-A-Son.mp3

I'm beginning to think that being on a record label was better for Corgan in the sense that his output was a little more controlled and tempered.

Re: Smashing Pumpkins - Teargarden by Kaleidyscope

Maybe Billy should try his hand at more production and less singing?

Re: Smashing Pumpkins - Teargarden by Kaleidyscope

Looks like they're doing a large club tour, the date for mine is july 12 and tickets go on sale tomorrow at noon. Worth getting up, and paying the 45 plus fees. I'm not a real big fan of most of the new stuff and the thought of doing the 20min space jams sounds like it could be torture to sit through, but i'm a big pumpkins fan and have always wanted to see them live

Re: Smashing Pumpkins - Teargarden by Kaleidyscope

So what does anyone think of the 10 songs released so far?

This was mentioned in the thread about the remastered albums set to come out, but I'm intrigued by this new album they're releasing titled "Oceania". If I'm not mistaken it will come out next month
